My wife and I got new S21 5g phones when we were with T mobile and ended up redeeming an incentive to bring your own device to Verizon. The phones are unlocked and have a Verizon sim card. Since switching the video calling and wifi calling phone functions are not working, but they did work when on T mobile. When I restart the phone the T mobile banner still is displayed. Both Samsung and Verizon tech support seem stumped. I've reset the network without change. Any ideas how to make the phone forget it's T mobile beginnings and recover these features?

You will need to flash the software on your phone to either unlocked or Verizon. There's a stickie on how to do that in the top of this forum subject.

Yes we have a sticky on this , your device is Tmobile version but sim unlocked or Unlocked ?

Thanks for the help! The device was unlocked after it was paid off at t mobile and the Verizon sim is in the phone and active on the network. I'll look at the sticky and see if I can figure out more.

No problem , if you need further help just tag me @mustang7757 I would flash to unlocked firmware.

Question when you activated the phone on Verizon did you just slap the Sim in it?

I am thinking that you may need to do a factory reset. Set the phone up as new with the Verizon Sim in from the very start and see if that kicks everything on so to speak.

It won't. The phone will need to be flashed. Speaking from personal experience as I'm using a T-mobile S21 Ultra on Verizon.

Another thing you can do OP is download the Android 12 beta. With the beta it will actually change your firmware to give you the Verizon features you're hoping to gain.

And your not touching anything in odin option list ?

Try different cables also

One step closer with a new cable, using odin 3.14.4 still has the sha256 error. Using the older version with the 3b patch now says "setting up connection" and never changes.

Wait it out for settings up connection
