MIUI Ported to the X

IDK if ppl know but over at MIUI forums they found a "bug stomper" for the MIUI screenshot issue. You could press Menu and Vol Down and it would take a screenshot but could never know where it went. Someone listed the locale as /cache/ Not sure where that is. BUT with this zip(install like any other zip) places the screen shots in the actual SD>MIUI>Screen_cap folder. Here is the zip(thanks to droidXchat) http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11695745/DXC Bug Stomper.zip

Your first boot out of CWR will take a bit. Heres the screenshot I found in the folder listed above. I would also do a MIUI backup once this is installed. Who knows if it will stick beyond 1.8.1.9

Two questions. One any chatter on when the newest update is going to hit. Second does anyone know if the newest update is supposed to fix no service bug.

I really want to which back to miui but that was a deal breaker for me.

I've read that if you go to Manage Applications and look up Telephony Service and force close it without reboot that it would fix that, worth a try..

The official miui forums have a fix out. Not sure of the specifics of it cuz I never had a problem. Check it tho.

This update almost feels like MIUI for Dummies 1.0 w these orange boxes popping up every time something happens. Slide down to unlock, slide up to ignore this call, set your apps on this page, etc, lol.

My status bar mod zips are installing but not showing in the settings. I have the proper CWR flashed. The ghost is still present(apps all over the place). At least there was an update. Just gona take time to see what has really changed.

Return your Bionic? You mean the Droid Bionic? What happened, why don't you like this phone?

not that i dont like it... the battery is a negative for me mainly, with it in 4g mode... today i'm trying it out all 3g only all day.

it could be my "newness" with a 4g phone...don't get me wrong, it's a very slick phone, very fast, great call quality, and with root around the corner, it may be way cooler than it is now, i'm still debating...

perhaps i'll get that extended battery... being a tech person, you DO notice the screen fuss that people are talking about, the "chain link fence"...but i'm sure i'll get use to it.

1.9.9 isnt much of a change for me since the last release or two. The main format of the ROM is down to a science, its just working out all the bugs that keeps us in a furor over updates weekly. I think once it is ready to be dropped with GB we will see more enhancements that keep this thing lively.

DroidXChat has added all his tweaks (which most of us already have) on his port of the 1.9.9 build. It's been a couple of weeks it seems like but what the hey, a bump for the MIUI Rom. :-)
