Mobile Share Advantage: AT&T is finally phasing out overages fees on its mobile data plans.

I read a few articles on this, and it seems the monthly cost for each device on this plan is $20 instead of $15 for the current shared mobile data plan. I'll still be paying the old amount until I change my plan (like changing data amount) and then I'll be paying the higher $20 fee. So in the end this new plan change would cost me more each month.

And a family with four smartphones will pay $20 more (if on a 10 GB or higher Value plan) if they switch to this bs "Advantage" plan. AT&T must think customers are idiots to offer this plan.

I just don't understand how they're going to slow you down to 2G speeds When AT&T said 2G will be shut down by the end of 2016.

When they throttle you, you will still be connected to either LTE or "4G". They will slow down to speeds you got when 2G was around.

Just switched to the plan in the online account so we will see how it goes. It saves a few bucks for me.

I just switched from the 15GB plan and got a $5 discount with an extra GB. For once I benefited from these changes! :D

I'm definitely curious about this plan but do not want to be the guinea pig, will be curious to see if anyone finds "hidden costs" in this plan as there always seems to be with AT&T.

I changed from the old 20GB plan to the new 25GB plan. With 9 lines, I went up 15 bucks, but my kids were dinging me for 1.5GB / month in overages.
