Moisture detected

It's a random fault that both S8 models and Note8 also had, my first note 8 had it and I ended up having to send it in for warranty repair as none of the fixes or factory reset would cure it

Never have had a moisture message on my Note 8 in about a year's steady use. Perhaps it's because I live in Colorado, a very dry state or out West where humidity is rarely a factor.

I saw that message a few days ago. Weird cause I never saw it on the N8. Anyway, I used compressed air then a blow dryer. haven't seen it since.
Yeah mine's been fine since I gave it a couple shots of that compressed air

I am getting this message currently too after applying one of those liquid screen protectors. I am concerned. Will it ruin the phone?? How do I get the message gone??

I haven't had it in at all in nearly a year on my second note 8 and the one that I had which I sent for repair I sold to a friend and it hasn't reappeared on that either

Try a couple shots of compressed air, something like this (see photo). That alone fixed my issue - when I had the issue, I couldn't even charge it with a cord.

I don't specifically have experience with liquid screen protectors, but doubt that's even the issue. Mine came about and I hadn't done anything to it - no screen protector, and it hadn't been anynwhere close to liquids for several days.

My Note 8 has done that on a couple of occasions one time because it actually got wet in the rain and my hand and it took a while for it to go away. Then another time just because it was really humid outside and I had went from my cold air conditioned car where I have the vent going directly on the phone to keep it cool while plugged up and running GPS, to almost a hundred degree Virginia weather with ridiculous humidity.

Just a quick note to say that using compressed air can in some cases drive debris etc up into the phone.

Depends how you use it. If you are just sitting there with your finger on the button loading a bunch of high compressed air, I could see that.

I believe the USB port is a sealed module so shouldn’t be driving any debris further so I don’t mind giving the USB port a good wack of air now and then.

The speaker ports are meshed I believe so that’s possible so I try not to go crazy when airing out the ports of lint or possible dust.

Don’t think I ever got the moisture message and I’m in south Florida keeping my phone in my pocket that can get pretty sweaty and damp in pocket when running around. But I have gotten slow charge message now and then and when I do, i feel it’s more possible residue on the connector in port that air can’t clean so I take a lens wipe wrapped over a hair pin and gently rub both sides of the connector clean and it goes away for a long time.

Did you spray the liquid on your phone? Most liquid screen oems include instructions not to.

I got it tonight.

It's interesting because I took it with me in the shower a week ago.

I had to go so I used my Dust Off compress air, not too close and turned her off and charging wirelessly.

This shouldn't be an issue right?
