Moto 360: Android 5.1.1 Update

I just got a notification about mine. I am at work and not able to update atm, but it's ready to go as soon as I get home to charge it! Not that region or carrier matters, but I live in GA and am on T-Mobile...

Received my update this morning as well. So far so good - I do like the improved menu quite a bit. The wrist-twist scrolling seems a bit awkward, but actually works pretty good. In SF Bay Area on Sprint if that matters.

Guys.. location doesn't matter. :)

Got my update tonight. So far, I'm liking it. The improved menus are nice, and the WiFi connectivity has been helpful. I'm not sure how I feel about the wrist-flick scrolling, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Does the wrist-flick scrolling mean the flick-to-wake functionality is gone? I was noticing that I have to tap the face or push the button to light the display now.

Did you check in the settings to see if ambient mode was turned off during the update process?

The flick-to-wake is still there for me (with ambient mode off) - kind of wish there was a way to adjust the sensitivity, though.

It's really neat, I'm loving it so far. WiFi wasn't working for me but switched to another phone and it works. Pretty neat feature

Is there a way to download it to my phone and send it to my watch, tired of waiting for it and not seen a fool proof method of forcing it

I tried both on and off. I normally don't use ambient mode since it's useless on the 360. It's working now, though, so I think it was just the ID10T error I have from time to time. Thanks for the tip!

Sounds like they did pretty well with optimizing the update...still waiting for mine, argh, although I am not really doing anything to force the matter. Have had my Moto 360 for over a month now and am loving it. Had been eyeing the 18mm champagne gold for quite awhile, finally bit when Amazon had it for $100 off its original price.

I'm waiting for my update too, but absolutely love the watch since I've had it (Christmas). I agree that it sounds like they did the update right.

Is there a seeing to turn on the flick to scroll through the notifications? Can't seem to get it to work on mine.

I was frustrated I didn't have an update yesterday after reading this thread. I decided to give up trying to force the update and started cleaning my fish tank. Then my watch vibrated and finally update downloaded please charge to 80% to install.

The update made my 360 much smoother, I had the tourbinator watch face and before it was Skippy and definitely not fluid motion, after the update it feels like a different watch the way that particular face is so smooth now. Props to moto it took a while but it seems to be worth it
