Moto voice setup issue

I'm trying to setup the voice actions through the moto app. Each time I do this, it keeps giving me an error which states 'failed to detect echo.'

The first attempt at setting up the voice actions resulted in the moto app stating a high echo was detected and it suggested I go to another room and try again.

I've taken the phone out of the flip case, but that has not done anything to resolve the issue. The moto app is up to date, as is the system software.

Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

I had similar issues....very frustrating as I "thought" I was in quiet rooms. Anyway, try going in your car (obviously with everything turned off and the doors closed). If I remember correctly (as I tried so many places), I believe that's when I successfully got passed the echo issue.

I never would have thought to try the voice setup in the car, but that fixed the echo issue.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Car didn't work for me. I had to use the walk in closet.
Great idea...same concept...you need to find a "really" quiet and small space with no chance for your voice to bounce against any walls. If car and walk-in closet don't work, friends you may need to travel to the nearest hospital psych ward and a "padded cell"!!
