Re: Possible Moto X successor spotted in benchmarks!

The G2 has a 5.2" screen with onscreen buttons, and has (I think) the highest screen to total surface area ratio of any phone ever. LG achieved that by putting buttons on the back instead of the sides. If Moto were to copy that they could perhaps do as good a job as LG at keeping the size relatively compact, but no reason to think they are doing so. More likely they keep the buttons on the sides, and the phone is physically larger than the G2.

Partially...

Not to mention most likely won't come to verizon. 5.5" is just too large unless it has no bezel. i like the size of the g2, it does not feel that large in hand. Think the sweet spot is 5.1-5.2 with very minimal bezel.
Give me the Moto X touchless features with a 5" minimal bezel phone that makes it slightly smaller than my LG G2. Oh and a DSLR built in as well. Ok I will settle for a camera that is a hybrid of the G2 and S5. Take my Money Motorola!

The way it is, makes it almost seem like it is something to go along with the moto x not necessarily a brand new phone. Maybe the moto watch? I would love to see a moto x version 2 with upgraded internals and camera launched alongside the moto smart watch.
The Moto X+1 is what we would refer to as the "Moto X2"

The phablet, the moto x sequel, and the 360 are all rumored to launch in the summer. So is moto going to launch all three on one big event?

Re: The next Moto X

More than anything else, a call blocking feature integrated into the OS similar to the one in (gasp!) Apple's os7 - simple and effective. It's astounding to me that with the plethora of telemarketing & other spammers running amok nowadays we Android users have to try & survive the fray using 3rd party apps. That's just nuts.

They have one coming up. I doubt it's the X+1/X2. And I still think it's too early for the Moto 360.

My guess is that the Moto X+1 and Moto 360 will launch at the same event later this summer while Motorola's upcoming event is for the rumored "Moto E".

I don't know why its not build into Android. But I'm running CM11 and enjoy my call blocking feature. Now we just need an option to report numbers to the government site for reporting telemarketing.

I'm thinking the Moto x+1 is going to be announced at the event in a few days. Why would they hold an event just for a budget phone? Also with the recent sale, maybe they're trying to clean stock. They launched a little before the IPhone last year so they were trying to sell at the same time and maybe this year they're like "f-that"!!! Lol

They held an event for the Moto G.

I just meant it's an even less expensive phone. Anyway maybe they will only release the low end model but I don't know why the "x+1" would show up on the Motorola website 3 or 4 months before a launch..

Re: Moto X+1 on Moto website!

What exactly does applying for a credit account entitle to? Apologies but I'm not entirely experienced in that area, but I'm guessing it's enough so you can't easily get a free device?
