As discussed in the other threads, most here feel the phone needs to stay about the same size. They could fit a 5" screen on the same form factor.

In regards to the camera, more megapixels isn't the answer. Larger sensor, larger pixels and better optics are needed. If they want to get fancy they could maybe add a second sensor with a different f-stop. Duel LED flash and possibly zenon flash as well.

If they move to a SD800 or above, I don't know if they would need "x8" since the newer Snapdragons have the features of the "x8" custom cores built in. Given its release timeline, I would like to see an 805, which should be more power efficient and tuned then the 800 or 801.

Larger battery and, if they move to a larger screen 1080 resolution.

Personally, I would love to have voice print verification, to allow you to use the phone in locked mode in combination with the always listening feature.

Re: The next Moto X

hmm....
Keep up the good work.
Same basic size.
Qi charging
Steal/create/buy best in class camera sauce.
Get the best GPU/CPU combo without throttling.
Maintain best in class reception for as many bands as possible.
Vanilla android as much as possible.
Keep innovations coming.

Re: The next Moto X

I'm totally satisfied with the screen, though a little darker option would be nice and much brighter in direct sunlight would be, too. The form factor, IMHO, is perfect. I still love the design and feel of the phone. The software additions to stock Android are very value-added to me. The battery is very good but everyone always wants even more, right? But to me, the camera is....adequate. It doesn't suck, but it would be nice to have at least that one thing that is a knock-out "gotta have" feature to the phone.

So there really isn't much I would change. Just an improved camera.

Ino I completely free with you and everyone else I read the specs on every other new android device to me lately and with that being said, I love the moto x curly just like everyone else does screen size is very possible holiday inn 1 hand easy to use a smooth you need a big quad core c_p_u to have a good enjoyable smooth experience think the moto x teaches all of us that as far the batteries concerned, I never usage, I sing rocket a full day of juice now my rule of thumb is whenever I used google maps g_p_s in my car so is in the car charger

Better camera, extend the battery life of course, and expandable memory.

To be honest with you, I don't think Motorola is in with Lenovo will put expandable memory on the Moto X because I believe a few seconds faster reboot of time is worth it let me look at the other droid phones at Verizon Wireless sales the maxx, ultra, mini, they also don't come with expandable memory slots either. Again, as far as the battery is concerned, I'm more than satisfied with what it puts out considering how big it is I love everything about this phone

We probably won't see the 805 in the X2. Adding that would undoubtedly increase the cost, and Moto seems to be pushing for a price under the standard $600 flagship phone cost. I'm fine with them putting in an 800 or 801 and tweaking it.

Re: The next Moto X

Same bezel size, 4.9" screen though at 1080p with better brightness. Better speaker, Snapdragon 800-801 and expandable storage.

Take my money Moto!!!

Re: The next Moto X

As with everyone else on every other post, number one by far has to be an improved camera. Don't care about increased MPs, but it must have better hardware. Like the other poster said I think it should be:

"I'd rather see continued evolution and refinement of the phone as a tightly integrated system of appropriate hardware and well-engineered software. In other words, stick to the idea that user experience trumps a laundry list of specs every day of the week. "

One small point, could they make a screen that doesn't smear as much? Other than that, I love my Moto X!

Re: The next Moto X

I'm not holding my breath for an 805, but if they launch with an 800 or 801 it better be $100 or less on contract (that will be the price of the S5 and M8 around Aug). I don't know what the cost difference will be between and 801 and an 805, but I doubt its that much. The Snapdragon are in the $30 neighborhood, so I would be surprised if there is more then a $5 difference between the 801 and 805. To bad the 810 won't be out as it would be nice to move to ARMv8 (reportedly the biggest advantage of the A7 chip) and 20nm fab.

Re: The next Moto X

As long as the size and shape does not change I could give a flying fart what model the CPU has or the number of cores or the resolution of the screen or any tech specs other like to epeen over. As long as its faster with a longer life battery in real life use with the same price I will be happy. I am not one that relates my self value to the stats of my phone.

Re: The next Moto X

Keep same size, bump up internals, newer processor and better camera.

Re: The next Moto X

I would like the same physical size of the phone to stay the same size.
A better camera ,but this one actually suits my needs.
Wireless Charging would be kinda cool, but not a deal breaker if it doesn't have .
Basically as long as it runs as smooth and lag free as this version of the phone does,I will be satisfied.
