I'm pretty sure 5.0 isn't installed right out of the box. I'd would also like to know if the update is still being pushed out currently. I have read that it was pulled. Has anyone recently gotten it?

Received my phone today. Went straight to update and 5.0 was right there. This is on T-mobile (off contract).

Very nice, what color trim would have been your next choice to give it more pop? Yours is the exact combo I was going to do.

Hopefully I did this correctly - but my Cyber Monday Moto X came yesterday. I got a 32 GB Pure Edition with a black front, bamboo back, and metallic silver trim.

I am very happy right now but I need to find a case. It was easy finding a clear TPU case for the 2013 Moto X - not so much for this one.

My second choice would've been metallic orange. But I'm starting to like the silver trim now. A nice clean look. It's growing on me.

Oops, I tried to reply to mrjspeed's post with the walnut phone and desk, but it didn't quite work. Now I see vtpmt81's phone/desk photo. Both are very helpful.

That's pretty cool! I'm leaning toward the teak stain (and have a teak desk). But some of the walnut ones have me thinking of that option, or the darker bamboo with a black front.

Thanks for posting this pic. The comparison to the wood of the desk is helpful.

I've hit reply to two different posts in this thread and when typing my comment, it shows that it's a really to a specific post. But once I hit the submit button it just posts as a general comment. Can someone tell me what I'm doing to cause this to happen?

This post was a response to ClinchDroid's 11/19/14 post of his MX with slate back and orange trim.

I've been leaning toward teak, walnut, or teal. And I'm not crazy about the various different metal trim colors. BUT I do like both the slate and smoke colored plastics and your orange trim looks absolutely stunning with the slate back. I would have never even considered this option until seeing your photos.

I also need to find a case. I'm thinking maybe some sort of leather pouch so as not to inhibit the feel of the wood. I also need to find a UK supplier for a second turbo charger.

I absolutely LOVE the bamboo back. I dismissed it as a hokie gimmick when it was announced with the OG X but I'm glad I got it on the 2014 model. It looks great, it wears perfectly (no case here, not a single blemish on it yet) and it gets a lot of compliments. More than one person has said they really like my case and then are even more dazzled when they find out it's the actual back of the phone.

I went with the same design as a poster a page back (minus the Verizon logo). This is the blue color on the back. I'm amazed at how different it looks in the rendering vs real life. I enjoy the brighter blue in real life.

Ordered just now to be delivered by 12/18 along with a turbo charger.

why don't you go through the ordering process and it will give you a estimated delivery date? only way to really know when you'd get it, most likely even earlier than the estimated day

I'm going naked. I don't want to hide the look. Maybe if I can find a bumper I'd consider that but naked for now.

Back front, Slate back, Silver trim.

I wish the whole frame could be silver on the black model but the silver accents do compliment the gray frame and slate back. The silver speaker grilles look nice on the black front IMO.

FYI, my shipping said 12 days and it only took 5 from when I placed the order to when it arrived at my house yesterday.
