Moto X 2014 Post your end of day battery screen shots

I forgot to plug in, so I decided to just let it keep going to see what I could get out of it. I'd have to describe the day as between moderate to heavy, at least for me. Everything on, pretty much. Admittedly I'm little surprised at the results. Concerns over battery life have basically disappeared for me. At this point, if I do experience any battery drain, it would have to be app related.

That's solid right there. 24hr off the charger with 5+ hr SOT and not even in the red on battery. It just shows what the phone is capable of.

I firmly believe there are some network issues or rogue apps plaguing some of the short battery lie devices. Really wish we could break down the difference between vzw and at&t/t-mo pure devices.

My wife has 2013 moto x. Once it gets to 1% battery, it just does not die!!! Will go at least another 8 hours of low usage. Actually more... Did not test it out till it died.

Is it same for 2014 moto x as well?

Can someone with a 2014 X try this out...

Thanks.

I got the phone 4 days ago, and I noticed the battery was draining pretty quick. I tried a bunch of things, even speaking to Motorola, but to no avail. Finally, upon doing a lot of research( googling ), I decided to do a factory reset, after that ART instead of Dalvik, uninstall apps that I don't need like Play movies & TV, Play Books, and some others. After all this rebooted my phone, and installed battery doctor along with clean master, and my battery averaged about 20-25 hours per day. And on days of minimum usage even more.

Is this good? From about 10-5 I listen to either podcasts or music and I have a weak signal maybe 1/3 of the time.

Here's mine for today I had a 1 hour plane ride listening to music on the moto buds. Plus working all day.

Can you check to see what happens after it gets to 1%....
Og moto x keeps going for an abnormally long time at 1%.
Wondered if it is the same for the new one too.

Thanks.

Got to 1% and sat there for about 5 min with screen on time and then powered off.

Do you have the battery saver thing turned on? So when it gets below 15% battery saving features are turned on?
Just wondered if that might make a difference...

Just wondering I'd this is happening to anyone else. It says that my phone is using more juice when the screen is off, compared to when its on.....

Just switched from an iPhone 5s to the Moto X 2014 and getting very poor battery life. I researched and tried adjusting settings to improve battery life - has no noticeable effect. Any recommendations?

This is why I can't bring myself to buy a Moto X 2014 (gen 2). I really liked my old Moto X but ended up selling it on eBay because of 2 reasons, 1) screen was to small after using a Note II, and 2) the battery life was way to short. I work out in the field and need my phone for calls, emails, texts, no way this thing would last a 10 hour day.

Yes. It definitely extends battery life a little. It basically turns off all data fetching.

Some screen more...

Sorry, no screen shots, but on my first full discharge when I was not doing something like switching to ART or whatnot, I'm at 28% battery after 7.5 hours with 5+ hours screen on.

That includes about an hour of Ingress.

So far, very reasonable battery.
