Moto X Glass replacement

I chatted with the Motorola Customer Service who informed me that it is a RUMOUR that Moto X's glasses can be replaced for free. He went on saying that they have never replaced glasses for free for it's considered to be a physical damage - therefore no covered...

Can anyone here chime in - has this been your experience?

I thought this had to do something with the Turbo, not the X.
