Moto X Style (Moto X Pure Edition): Moto Maker Customizations

Re: Leather Backs and Accents:

I am leaning towards the Walnut Wood Black for mine something difference since everyone does leather now.

Re: Leather Backs and Accents:

I may go for leather next time around. I have wood on my 2013 Moto X, and it's held up great, but it's slick.

Re: Motorola: Open Motomaker!!

I've been checking every day now hoping Moto Maker is up and running!

Moto Maker Pricing?

Can I expect pricing to be similar to last year? So...

16GB w/ Silicone - $400
16GB wood/leather - $425
32GB w/ Silicone - $450
32GB wood/leather - $475
64GB w/ Silicone - $500
64GB wood/leather $525

Engraving an extra $5?

So a fully loaded Moto X Pure with a wood/leather back and engraving to be $530 plus sales tax.? Of course there will be cases for $20-$50 I assume.

Is the turbo charger included in the box?

I already plan to add a 128GB MicroSD card for $60 from Amazon. So I'm looking at $600 or so for top of the line.

I would expect that to be accurate. I believe the included charger will be a quick charger.

Re: Motomaker needs an upgrade

As far as colors are concerned each monitor can display colors slightly differently. It would require everyone to color calibrate their monitors to see the correct colors even if they're displayed correctly on the web.

This.

Re: White or Black front?

I read somewhere that you will only be able to get the dark metal gram of you choose the black front, and the light/gold frame is for the white front. I hope this isn't true though, because I want to get the black front with silver/bamboo as well!

The UK version of Motomaker confirms what you have read.

Where?

Correction. It was for the Play, not the Style. But I don't think there is any reason to believe it will be different.

Re: Moto Maker Pricing?

Last years X was more expensive and did not include a quick charger. Just sayin.

Re: Moto Maker Pricing?

Quick chargers are pretty cheap these days. I have 3 or 4 that I got on sale at some point all for around $10. I won't really care if they include one or not.

You really need 64GB and a 128GB card? Seems like overkill...

Not if you love music, take lots of pics & video when camping or traveling, load up a few movies when on vacation etc. I can easily burn through the 32 gigs on my phone in those situations. Luckily I still have unlimited data on Verizon so I can offload quickly when near a charger, but, I can't take much music with me which is what I'm looking forward to with a larger capacity available with a micro SD card.

Same here. It seems I've been buying up all of Aukey's products lately.

I really don't get how people think added storage on a smartphone is overkill? Apps. Games. Music. Movies. Pictures.
I live off of this thing. The more storage the better. Period.

My monitor is color calibrated because I do photography work. And if you compare the quality of color accuracy produced by auto manufacturers when you peruse their sites to build a vehicle's color combinations, they are far more realistic than what Motorola provides with Motomaker.

It's not an issue of color calibration. It's an issue of them presenting a drawn image that looks like a cartoon compared to a photo-realistic image of an actual device in it's color/material scheme.

Re: White or Black front?

White. I have wanted an all white phone since forever but have also always bought nexus phones which never have a white front (which I hate). So I am really looking forward to a white front for my next phone (either the moto XPE or note 5)

Comparatively, my 32GB G3 hasn't reached half it's internal storage, nor has the 32GB sd card I'm using, with one 1,000 songs and 2,500 pictures and videos....

Re: Moto Maker Pricing?

I want the 64GB and a 128GB card so I can say it has almost .2TB of memory.

This thing can't arrive soon enough.
