I'm just about 95% positive that many of us don't like the "Blur" (or whatever Motorola has decided to call it) skin that is on the Droid X, 2, 2Global, and the Pro.

I decided to start a petition which will make it to Motorola requesting they give up the crapware, and update us to Stock Gingerbread. I'm not by any means saying that it will or it won't work, but maybe if enough us sign it, Motorola will see that we don't like it.

To sign the petition, please visit this website - Update all Verizon, Motorola Droid's to "Stock" Android Petition

This would probably require a fresh rom. So not happening. They could potentially update the phone's existing rom to make it look like stock, but that would just make it slow ad buggy. I agree to stock though. If people want MotoBlur, they'll get a Defy or something. While the Nexus line is what Google wants Android to be represented by, the Droid series is really what's doing it.

If a launcher can be an app that you install or uninstall from your phone, why can't MotoBlur, TouchWiz, and Sense just be similar launcher apps?

Let them be options not traps.

Motorola should be the "other" stock android alternative to the Nexus line of phones. They were successful with the original Droid for a reason.

I'm about 95% sure that 95% of the people with these phones aren't represented in your 95% of users who don't like Motoblur.

The very tiny vocal minority on the internet won't outweigh the millions and millions who bought one of these, use it as intended, and are just fine with it. I think the best solution would be to allow users to unlock the bootloader, void their warranty from Moto and the carrier, and do what they please with the phone.

Agreed, I doubt most people even know what blur or stock android is lol

I agree why cant google make like 2 nexus phones? I dont see what the harm would be. Make them for all the carriers and give people the choice between manufacturers
