They're bluetooth 4.1 but the s2 just scans for it and gives a "none found" message. Do I have to set something up within the phone app first?

I've paired just about everything with this watch, head phones, speakers car...no issues. When you tap on the Bluetooth setting while it is already on, it will make it visible. During that time, go through the pairing procedure with your other device. It does help to hold it close the first time. after that, should automatically pair when you turn on the other device.

I don't have the same headphones, but I have the MPOW Magneto. I have to ask, did you put the headphones in pairing mode before looking on the watch.

If you don't put them in pairing mode, you will see "none found" all day long.

There's only an off and on button, and volume up and down button.... I don't think there is a pairing option...

If it's bluetooth headphones, there is always a pairing option. I may be able to help, though. My MPOW has a on/off, and a skip forward/back. If yours is like mine, you hold the on/off for a few seconds and it comes on, same for turning off. To put in pairing, start from powered off. Hold the power button for 10-15 seconds. If your headphones have voice prompts, it will say "Pairing". If not, the light to show power on will be blinking if in pairing mode. If it's a solid light, start over from a power off and hold the power on button until the lights start flashing. When that works, go to the watch and scan and pair again.

holding the power down initiated the pairing... and the s2 instantly picked it up. thanks man!
