Yeah, yeah, but for me, it's more fun to throw that role off to a tertiary device. I know, not what most would do but I have a thing for phones.Ah, I see. Isn't that what cases are for lol
Well articulated.I think that when you get to the idea of phones as hobbies versus just tools for communication, then it stops being "excessive" and starts becoming a "collection". For example, I collect sneakers, and at this time, have around 400+ pairs. I also dabble in competitive fighting games, and have 5 different arcade sticks. None of it makes sense if I only treat them as tools to accomplish a purpose, but if I appreciate each individual design and nuanced experience each provides, then it makes perfect sense why I'd want multiple phones... Because all offered different experiences

I only carry 1-2 at a time. During the week I have my work S22U and a personal S22U. During the weekend I have a personal S22U or Note 9.I think we need to distinguish between having multiple phones and carrying multiple phones.
It doesn't sound dumb. It works for you.I carry...3.
my p6 has my sim, and it's the one I use the least. This ensures I have battery for the crucial things like communication, texts and navigation.
The note 10+ is my media and web browsing device at work, and it works off of wifi. It's the phone I reach for ok breaks when I need to browse these forums or watch a YouTube video. It also has all my emulator apps, so it doubles as my phone for gaming when I have time to kill. I did this so that I'm not using up battery on my main phone for dumb stuff, then all of a sudden, it's dead when I need to make a call.
The P4 is just small enough to carry with no problems, and is my point and shoot, along with just being another wifi device to browse and watch YouTube videos.
It sounds dumb, I know, but it also doesn't leave me with battery anxiety near the end of the day.

I do both as wellI think we need to distinguish between having multiple phones and carrying multiple phones.
I can see the desire to simplify. It's interesting to hear all the stories and situational references.
I'm probably older than most of you and have come to a point where I'm trying to simplify my life. Not just with phones but everything. While I always own a backup device in case of issues with my primary, I only carry one. It's difficult enough to carry around one large, fragile brick let alone 2 or more. I used to have to be connected 24/7 with work but, thankfully, that is over. My present position does not require it.
I certainly enjoy the hobby aspect of smartphones and, though I grew up in the era where phones were only attached to walls, I can't imagine not having one with me. Maybe someday. More freedom.
I carry two phones. My P6 work phone. Does the job nicely and I love the new material u
My personal phone is my iPhone 12mini. Love that thing to pieces and I will definitely keep for some years to come. It's the perfect size for my needs and communication with iPhone users.
I like having both OSes and I like to daily both feels like I'm getting all the features combined. Awesome phones.
I can totally understand and respect that strategy!

I should also add that most people I know personally have iPhones. The mini just makes my life easier with socializing. I won’t be the one breaking the group chat![]()
