Okay now with the latest pics and speculation on a possible Sony Nexus Sony Nexus X - Business Insider along with the LG Nexus and the past rumors about the HTC 5" Nexus and even a Samsung variant that came up a while back, how likely is it that Google could be putting together the show stopper line-up of all show stoppers? All major manufacturers making Nexus phones all at once? Or at the vary least all within a year? I personally would be so happy to see this. The fragmentation thing could become a thing of the past and once again choice in the Android world would continue to reign supreme in the mobile world. :D

Not only would it be great to see some other manufacturers get into the Nexus game, but could also allow some companies to continue to make their own software while still evening the playing field in the pure Android Arena.

What are your thoughts?

I'd say its 50/50 whether there will be multiple Nexus devices, though there is only a 10% chance of that.

I'm thinking the LG nexus will be the only device unveiled within the next month. But during that announcement they will announce the changes to the nexus program and more manufacturers will release their versions maybe starting around the first of next year.

Too much information about the LG has leaked and none about other manufacturers versions. That sony leak looked a little fake.

I'll be happy when we've gone beyond that All Things D: conference and we find out what Google actually has planned. Rumors are cool and all but I want some real news.

I agree. I think the concept would be really great. Imagine if each manufacturer would release a new Nexus device every month or 2 all year long. The latest and greatest would always be there.

I guess the big thing would be how it would impact the Sense, Touchwiz, Motoblur skins if the pure android experience was this available to us.

LG definitely looks like it will roll out first. I really want another htc nexus.

I would LOVE this to be true. I got really excited about the sony rumor this morning. I owned an xperia play for a hot minute and loved it, plus their newer devices are all so interestingly designed and imo the most gorgeous phones on the market. Shame verizon never gets any of them.

Okay let's say that These companies are making a new Nexus: LG, Samsung, Motorola, HTC, Sony, Asus, Apple (ha ha not). Which company would you like to buy first and what would be the ideal specs for that phone based on this same list. Maybe we can inspire the manufacturers :-)

1. Screen size
2. Screen type Super AMOLED or Super IPS LCD
3. Screen Resolution
4. Internal Memory (removable SD required?)
5. Battery size (removable battery required?)
6. CPU speed
7. Ram
8. Camera MPx

Here's my perfect phone:

HTC
1. Screen size: 4.8in
2. Screen type: Super IPS LCD
3. Screen Resolution: 1080p (dreaming) okay 1280x768
4. Internal Memory: 64GB removable not required
5. Battery size: 2800 mAh with removable
6. CPU speed: S4 Pro Quad core
7. Ram: 2GB
8. Camera MPx: 13MPx

Motorola...
1 - 4.3-4.5
2 - Super Duper IPS LCD
3 - Idc
4 - Above 16GB, 32GB better but can live with less
5 - The most they can pack in and still keep it thin. Razr like, 3200 ish?
6 - Idc, make it soar but save me $$
7 - 2GB
8 - 8+

I second this setup. I've loved all 3 of my htc phones.
