Music player resume fix in froyo

Since the froyo OTA my music player has restarted it's play back every time I would use any other feature while it was paused. A huge annoyance since I mostly use the music player for long audio podcasts. I found the solution when I got tired of bugs in the native dinc facebook app and downloaded "facebook for android" app by facebook. Now the player resumes where it left off no matter what I've done in the mean time and the facebook app works properly

Can you go into more detail as to what you did to correct this problem? I've had the same exact issue (using ACast and the native media player) since Froyo was installed. My phone seems to already have both Facebook and Facebook for HTC installed. Is there a method to remove the HTC version? Thanks in advance for any and all help.

sorry for not checking back sooner, to uninstall apps go to settings>applications>manage applications and then find and uninstall
As a follow up though, this no longer helps with the music player, i guess some other app I have updated or something, I can't figure it out now. HTC knows of the problem and is working on a fix but nothing yet
