Battery life - YouTube

Using all day on wi-fi. From 8:30am-2:30pm. 80% brightness. Surfing website, downloading apps, etc...Only had screen off not using it for only 5 minutes at a time. Went from 100% to 20% in about 6 hours of heavy, heavy usage.

Lol that's good to know. 6 hours under super heavy use. Something I don't see myself doing once I've had it for a few days. And also the 4G will be turned off for a week anyways, giving me plenty of time to just sit and play with it :). We don't get 4G here until a week after I buy this thing.
And I also noticed 6 hours under super heavy usage AND you had the 4G radio still running while using WiFi. You weren't using it, but it was still sucking battery. Sounds great man, hope you're having fun.

6hrs under real use is very impressive. My x will do maybe 3 and last 8-9hrs a day for me so this could maybe hold up 12 or so for me and that will make me very happy.:)

I did. Works great! Will video that too. What song do you want to hear?

Awesome! So glad to hear this. If you don't mind, when the device is hooked up through the headphone jack, can you play the song and kinda move the phone around to make sure moving it does not affect playback? The song I would like to hear is: Type o Negative Love You to Death.

Thanks much!

Does connecting to WiFI not automatically disable the 4G radio? It does on my thunderbolt. If not I hope there is a widget or some way to quickly turn it off.

Checking accuracy of this ... When you are at home using wifi, you still need to manually turn off the 4G radio if you want to maximally conserve battery life? I originally thought that if the phone connected to one of your wifi networks it would stop using the 4g or 3g data? Mistake on my part?

EDIT: lol someone beat me to it... well glad i'm not the only one wondering...

It said on his menu bar "4G LTE" so I was kind of assuming that the radio was still running.

I actually think that's a bug that slipped through. The 4G LTE/3G icon normally disappears when connected to wifi. I think it's just a visual bug and not actually connected to the 4G network at the same time as wifi. I remember seeing this bug in a custom ROM for my OG Droid one time. It was a visual bug for that ROM, I'm assuming the same thing here.

Well if it wasn't running that was still pretty good battery life anyways :p. Hope they fix it

$300??? Wow.
One would come out better getting a tablet to go along with their phone for that price.

Yes, but you need wi-fi for your tablet. I am a pilot and end up sitting lots of places with no wi-fi but I nearly always have cellphone coverage. This is why it works for me (still assuming no tethering charge).

I am truly amazed at how much juice this screen requires.
You had the screen on for nearly 6 hours at 80%, and it only used up 24% battery power.
The screen on my phone always use up 70 - 80% of my phone's battery.

Now we all see the benefit of Pentile displays.

I see. With the minimal amount of juice it pulls, and sunlight visibility, I think this might be the screen I've been waiting for.
It would cure the two most important issues I know experience on my current Android phone.

some guy called the police on me for doing the arena. I tried to explain that it is a augmented scavenger hunt.

Also can you show how well a game like dungeon defenders runs on the Bionic?

Didn't see your post before I tested the speaker cable. Will do something else.
