My HTC ONE doesn't work :(

It's either the first one on the list or the one above the brightstar files. Not sure which and no time to research. Gotta be one of those, though.

I'm not very experienced with mac and how it works. I should have asked what OS you were using in the get up. Any progress since last night?

I apologize for cluttering the thread, but I've been genuinely impressed with how much Jennifer and Scott have been helping the OP. It's a real community gesture.

Since you've flashed a custom ROM, I'm assuming you've also flashed a custom recovery to your One since CWM or TWRP is pretty much a prerequisite for rooting and ROM'ing. Try rebooting into recovery mode and see if you can mount the phone as a removable disk drive. If that still doesn't work, your PC may be lacking proper HTC drivers for the phone.

Also, one of your earlier comments in this thread state that you've changed a setting within the recovery. If so, can you recall which setting it was? (Providing the custom recovery you're using on the One will certainly be helpful.)

I believe they might be using cwm, since they didn't mention the swipe to sideload gesture that is available in twrp. Not 100% certain. Hopefully we hear back soon so we can continue trying to help.

Mounting the Sd sounds like a good option, I personally am not sure how that works.

OP, If you do not have the necessary HTC drivers, installing HTC sync should do that for you.

Are you sure you have cwm? Do you know which version it is? I just booted into my recovery (I use cwm) and the option is there under mounts and storage...

I am running the same version. User the volume down button to navigate to mounts and storage and press the power button. This should open up a sub menu that will read.

Mount /cache
Mount /data
Mount /SD

Mount SD is the third option in the list. Use the volume down to navigate to it and press the power button to select.

How did you manage to get twrp installed?

Go into boot loader and select fastboot. Plug your phone into your computer. You will need fastboot/adb on your computer. Google around how to find them and download the latest HTC One drivers. Rename the recovery TWRP.img to make it easy and put it in the fastboot/adb folder. Right click inside that folder while holding the shift key and click open command prompt here. In the command prompt type "fastboot flash recovery TWRP.IMG" and let it do its thing. Now reboot your phone back into boot loader and enter the recovery. You should be in TWRP now

I know how to flash it ;) I guess I just don't understand how fastboot and adb worked for you to flash the recovery, but not to flash or push the Rom. I don't get this size limit error :(
