My LG G3 charging is slow while plugged in; phone thinks its charging via USB

I have my phone plugged into a normal house plug, but the charging is slow because the phone is telling me that it's charging via USB. Charging and battery were both fine yesterday. I had it plugged in before going to bed. When i woke up this morning, the batter was at 8% and I've only achieved a charge of 21% after having it plugged in for nearly 9 hours. I've tried shutting down apps in the background, multiple times, and even tried turning the phone off for 1/2 hour. I've also tried another cord AND another plug. Can anyone shed any light on this for me? I've had the phone less than a year, but I'd like to avoid a factory reset, if possible..

I'm having the same issue. Woke up one morning after it was charging all night only to find out it was like 26%
