Android Central Question

I use Asus zenfone max pro M1 (andorid 9). I have got battery of 5000mAh on my phone, so I had been enjoying a long screen usage (12+ hrs on an average) and last full charge would be (30 hrs+ ) before it hit 15% mark. Recently it has been draining battery at an astonishing rate. Phone wouldn't last more than 12 hrs in total and screen usage would be a maximum of 6-8 hrs. I have Netflix, prime, YouTube, Facebook, whatsapp etc apps that have massive drains. But I have not been using the OTT platforms for a while and my data and wifi connection is off when not using it. I close the apps when they are not in use. i definitely close all the apps when I go to sleep. I have tried factory resetting my phone, didn't work. Tried rebooting and replacing suspicious apps. Nothing works.

Welcome to Android Central! Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which may show Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).

You might have to install a 3rd party battery monitor, like GSam Battery Monitor, to get the Cell Signal Strength graph.

Were you using Hotstar this much before? Also, it'd still be helpful to see what your cell signal has been like, since poor signal can increase battery drain. GSam Battery Monitor is the easiest way to see your cell signal over time.

Should I charge it to 100% again and then again collect data at 20-30% or is it fine at the current state of (73%)?
Also I don't use hotstar that frequently because rarely it has things to binge watch or a movie worth watching, but an hour of Netflix episode would cost me 10% battery. I am not sure about hotstar but it definitely wasn't this heavy. It costs me almost 30% for 1 hr right now.

I charged my note 10+ last nite To 100%.

I always charge it to 100%

Picked it up off charger at 9:00 to go in the bedroom and watch TV.
I have a flat samsung charger.

Never used it after 9:00pm
Got up this at 5:00am to drink coffee.
Got the battery % meter on my phone turned on to show what percentage the battery was at 97%

I think I had a good nite.

You said you're turning off your mobile data overnight -- are you also turning on Airplane Mode? It'd still be helpful to see your cell signal strength in case poor signal is contributing to the drain.
