My Phone Was Stolen

The saga continues . . . more fingers crossed. Gotta have something for them cases!! I at least have not yet had any cancellations on re-order today!!!

I wasn't expecting Best Buy to come thru like that. I just checked AT&T and the ship date is 3/8-3/14. So I'm doing better than I would have had I waited till yesterday to try and order again.

AT&T never offered to notify me when the phone was available for reorder. They just sent me that happy email "Your order has been cancelled. Sorry. The phone just flew off the shelves! We're sending you the sales tax back. Have a great life!"

I was stunned. But then I said to myself, "This phone situation has tried to cause me great stress. But it's gonna fail. Samsung wouldn't recognize my upgrade status. None of the stores had the phone. I was laughing when I thought of Best Buy. I had planned on getting several delay notifications, but I was pleasantly surprised. Let's see if the delivery is painless.

Yeah hang in there. T-Mobile is giving me a refund for the "lost" phone. So now I can order and wait. Lol

Right there with you Orion. Glad the investigation has moved to that step. Definitely update whenever you actually get phone! I will believe it when it is in my hands. Watching my hubby play with his new Ultra is both fun and frustrating. But at least I will know a but about it before mine ever comes.
 
Soo I been watching my tracking like crazy especially when it's supposed to be delivered today but after I saw this my stomach turned and I live in Houston btw

Because it was an AT&T phone, Samsung had to issue a refund and told me to order another phone. Since everything has changed (Rakuten down to 3% from 10% and AT&T not offering $800 for the S7), I told Samsung to cancel the entire order including the promo items and issue a full refund. Of course, now the promo items have a shipping label created - so I'll probably have to return those when they arrive tomorrow - ASSUMING THAT THE BOX ISN'T EMPTY AGAIN. AT&T has started reversing the upgrade and refund of upgrade fee.

I suspect that I will have to deal with Samsung and AT&T again before this is concluded.

Enjoy your S22s. I just keep my S20 Ultra.

Ok this is getting ridiculous!!!!! I've never seen so many phones get stolen or "lost" during a launch. Join the club. I'm nervous about ordering again. I might have to get it shipped to my parents. Everything always makes it there. Lol
 
Sadly, I can add my recent experience to this message board. Just last week I sent a trade-in to Samsung as part of my s22 ultra purchase. My wife is a faithful note user (from as far back as the days of the note edge!) and she has been waiting patiently for an upgrade for her Note 20 ultra. Thankfully, I did receive her s22 ultra just last week but unfortunately it looks like my trade-in box with the Note 20 was opened by someone with FedEx somewhere along the way to Coppell Tx and it's contents were removed. I just received a notice from Samsung that I will now be charged for my trade-in. FedEx says that since Samsung was the original account generator for the shipping label they will have to file a claim regarding my missing trade-in device. Samsung told me that they have a video showing that my trade-in box was empty when they received it and it even showed signs of damage to the inside of the box. I am upset and disappointed but since it's for my wife I am ok with paying extra to get her a new phone. She is worth it to me. She actually had a heart attack a few months ago and her cardiologist says that she may not be around this time next year. She is extremely healthy and in her 40s but unfortunately this was a genetic issue passed down from her mother. There were a few warning signs but she is a professional and works very hard so she kept persisting and wrote off various ailments to regular fatigue. Turns out several arteries to her heart were already blocked. She is stable now but the damage to her heart is likely permanent at this point. The way I see it if I l can bring her a little bit of joy with a new note then it's worth it to me to pay a little more for it. Anyway I just wanted to chime in that there is definitely something going on with FedEx and I would be careful guys if you are trying to trade-in a device. It may not make it through FedEx.

Yeah. I'm not ordering another phone that I can't put my hands on and walk out of the store with. Same for trade-ins.

The Samsung chat guy promised he wouldn't let it happen again. Outside of personally delivering the phone to me, I'm not sure how he was going to guarantee that it wasn't going to happen again.

FedEx driver said he'd never heard of something like this happening. I assured him that it has happened more than once with this particular phone.
