My phone will not stop receiving amber alerts. I tried everything!

My Samsung phone from Fido is constantly receiving the amber alert today over 15 times now. Loud sounds and text message are coming every 10 - 20 minutes. I called Fido 4 times, I turned off the volume, muted my phone, put do not disturb on, changed my settings for alerts and turn all of them to off. I rebooted by turning my phone off and then on again, did a restart. I called Fido again and got a network setting reset and nothing works, That amber alert that was cancelled 2 hours ago keeps coming. The CRTC is insisting we cannot opt out, this is crazy. Please help!

Try going into your phone settings and look for something called "Emergency Alerts" or something to that effect. It may be in different places or have a slightly different name depending on your phone, so look around. I've even seen it shown as an app in the app drawer on one of my old phones.

But basically you need to find that, then go into its settings and set whatever alerts you do and don't want.
