My Rant on the iPhone 5s

Actually, it isn't. If you ran tests side by side with the newer processors the new Qualcomm and Samsung Exynos processors would win. And I'm quite offended that you say I don't know how technology works. I can see why you've received some infraction points in the past. Obviously, if some people agree with and like my posts, I know what I'm talking about most of the time.

When you say apple is playing catch up with a phone that was introduced less than a month before the latest iPhone, it is a fair thing to say that you don't know how technology works.

HA! Only for the iPhone, Android phones have already been there (except for 64 bit). Either way, 64 bit is coming to us. Basically, Apple just took a tiny step forward when they need to go a long way. I mean ios 7? come on, ridiculous. It stole so many things from Android and Windows Phone. Fail Apple, fail.

No the upgrade is massive for all phones. Not just iPhone. Please understand. Also don't forget how much Android has taken from iOS.

It is catch up because it's already been released! Something has it and Apple didn't until yesterday. That's catch up. Very little catch up, but catch up none the less. I would also appreciate it if you would stop saying I don't know how technology works. It's offensive, uncalled for, and rude. This is supposed to be a mostly friendly place.

It really isn't, I don't know why you don't see that. And Android has taken very little from iOS compared to iOS taking things from Android. I will agree with you that some things have been taken, but not a ton.

No. Their big thing was that its plastic, so it should look like plastic. Not the faux metal finishes or leather Samsung is using.

Samsung has never apologized for it's use of plastic. The Note 3 is the first device to use the faux leather. Don't start acting like it's a pattern or like Samsung has tried to hide the plastic. Have you ever seen the S3, S4, or Note 2? I knew people would start convincing themselves that Apple was doing it better because they went with plastic. Especially the same people who bashed Samsung for using it. So freaking typical and predictable with haters.

We think alike. This is pretty much my exact thoughts.

Customer satisfaction has to do with the great customer service they have that no other oem offers.

If you are item is under warranty or Apple Care they will replace it for you quickly.

My mother in law iPhone 4 4g antenna stop working properly. As part of the process they restored her phone right there. After they did so and saw it was still not working, they swapped her out with a new one. No headaches.

Same service with computers and other items.

Nobody else offers that.

Oh i'm aware. In fact this is the #1 reason I would switch to iPhone. I HATE iOS so Lord knows it wouldn't be for that. I am on Straight Talk and my S3 is no longer under warranty. My USB port stopped working properly one day, and i've absolutely babied this phone. I need a device that I can have confidence in. If I take care of it, I expect it to take care of me. I love my S3 but was tremendously disappointed in this issue. Because of that, i'd consider the iPhone so that I could rely on that Customer Service.

Having said that, it certainly helps (like I said before) to have so many blind disciples that wouldn't buy anything else even if they got broken noses from Apple employees.

I didn't call you hypocritical. This was in response to a post by a different member.

And I agree about the Samsung Sheep. Blind fans of any manufacturer can be ridiculous. Which is why I mentioned Apple and Nexus fans in the post regarding this.

There are Samsung sheep? While I love my Samsung gear but I wasn't aware they'd established such a following.

This is probably the first post I've agreed with you on. Glad to know we can at least agree on something

Read what I said again. Samsung tries to make its plastic look like something else, from the faux metal plastic band, to the brushed pattern on the battery cover. Apple says that it should look like plastic, because that's what it is. THEY were the ones saying it was better, not me.

You're still not justifying what you're saying. The situation you describe isn't accurate. It is not possible for two phones in development at exactly the same time to be involved in a game of catch up. That just isn't how it works.

Oh, and any hostility you're getting you've brought on yourself. You yourself have been plenty rude and dismissive throughout this thread.

Go look at android pre iPhone and come back and say that with a straight face.

I never classified it as a full catch up. In fact it's barely a catch up game at all. Alright, let me reword and re-think this. These chips were probably in at the same time, but Motorola released it first. Ah I see the confusion. It's not catch up technically, it's more old news. As in we've already seen it in another phone. Sorry about that, it's my fault. Sometimes I have no idea what I'm thinking. And let me just say something. The ONLY reason I've brought hostility to this thread is because either somebody offended me or hostility was brought towards me.

Pre iPhone? Are you talking about the first iPhone? How is that even relevant to this? That's like back in 2007. I'll say it again, it may be a medium update for Apple, but in the phone and technology world it is really a minimal update of new not already seen features brought to the board.

NFC is useless It has been on 2 android devices I have owned and both were disabled by AT&T. and where I live. nearly ZERO places even accept it. NFC is over hyped junk in its current state.

Correction, NFC has been useless for you. I use NFC quite often and won't buy a high-end device without it. There are several stores that accept NFC payments: Champs/Foot Locker, CVS, 7-Eleven, NY & Company, Wegman's and Whole Foods are the ones that I can name off the top of my head.

Is the fingerprint scanner something Android had before? This could become mainstream because of Apple!
