My Rant on the iPhone 5s

Point taken. Still. The 5C should have just had more stuff over the 5 to make it a product worth releasing.

Given Apple's past practice, it should not. The 5c is the 5 in the plastic wrapper. The front camera and the battery are improved. I do think, hiwever, that it should be $450 off contract. At $550, it is too expensive.

I'm buying the 5S when it goes on sale. I'll be in line for that phone. I think the people saying its nothing new and sucks are being unfair. its an awesome device, imo. The camera is a nice improvement, the CPU will make the phone scream, and I'm too lazy to use a pin code and love the touch ID. I can't wait! the 5C however looks like iphone made love with croc shoes and had a baby. ugh. I'm not sure what apple was thinking with these, and wish I could ask Tim Cook about it. LOL. I'm sure they'll sale well enough though.

Fully agree with everything

Yes, that's my fault. I've always been stubborn, you backing up Apple yesterday (or it might have been 2 days ago) made me frustrated. When I'm calm I usually make rational comments that make sense and have the proper information, but when I'm not sometimes I throw out comments that weren't really edited well.

I can see you're not an Apple fanboy who supports their every move, you do agree they've messed up with some things. I have a hard time agreeing anything is wrong with Samsung (unless it's really bad). That's just because I'm probably one of the biggest Samsung fanboys out there.

I really like Samsungs and the neat things they've made for us.

The Order Odonata...there can be only one.

Samsung is amazing. Sometimes, they screw up, I'll admit it. But for the most part they have released some really cool stuff! Now if they could only take a page from Apple and optimize their phones better and push out updates quicker

I use an HTC One and a Jailbroken 4s on iOS 6.
My disappointment at the iPhone 5 coupled with the fact that the HTC One was plucked straight out of my imagination as to how I thought the 5 would look led me to try Android. A year later and we have the usual 'S' upgrade from Apple with the usual quota of people who were expecting more.
When I got the One it was with the knowledge that the next iPhone I may buy would be the 6, the S models are always virtually cosmetically identical. That said the 64 bit SOC, fingerprint scanner and new camera will all make it, or be improved, on the 6. People are so used to tech' now that many seem dismissive of it, these are pretty hight level features that Apple have implemented and should not be taken lightly. This will be proven by their appearance on future Android/Windows phones.
The HTC One is a beautifully designed and technically excellent piece of hardware, I love it. Android is now second nature to me and I appreciate the power available to the user over almost every aspect of setting up your device. I particularly do not miss the Jailbreak, iOS update, wait, Jailbreak...routine. Rooting is far more straight forward on Android, and often not necessary at all.
That said if I could could load iOS 7 + jailbreak onto my One I'd do it right now. I am not your typical Apple user but I know what I like and to me iOS has the edge over Android. However when it comes to the hardware it's a waiting game with Apple these days, if the 6 still has a 4" display then don't hold your breath for a bigger one till the 7. Wonder how many more will have moved to Android by then?

There's one thing Apple failed at with the iPhone 5, the apps. Still, a lot of them haven't been scaled up and look bad. That's the one thing I hated on my iPhone 5, a lot of the apps were in a tiny box in the middle of the screen. Apple should have let the developers know ahead of time about the 4 inch screen to give them time to scale the apps for the phone.

They gave them plenty of tools to do it.

I think the Note 3 line was ALMOST a revolutionary product. But that's using the word somewhat loosely

Ehh it's not revolutionary really, but it's certainly good. The iPhone isn't revolutionary either

I would argue that certainly was, Google's glass was/ is also revolutionary. There hasn't been any actual innovation since the original iPhone just IMO.

Google glass is incredibly revolutionary, and if it's priced right I'll pick up a pair when they're released. And I didn't mean the iPhone in general, I mean after the first release of the iPhone. The first iPhone was a game changer in the world, probably the reason why we see such great devices today.

Completely agree.

That's the thing. You shouldn't need special tools to let an app scale to a different screen size or aspect ratio. On Android, apps can, by design, scale well to any screen size, resolution, or aspect ratio. SpeedTest is literally the only app out of the hundreds that I've viewed or installed that doesn't do this.
