My sim card is detected but i cannot call or send message

I use a redminote-3 and since past two days though my SIM card is detected am not able to make calls or message anyone but am able to use hotspots easily and connect to any server and the simcard is not faulty as it is working perfectly fine in other mobiles and i use Airtel sim
