thanks RaRa85!
I don't think there is an actual "more correct" way of how to market/announce/preview/officially release their phone since everything in sales is really subjective. LG may have taken the v20's marketing approach "backwards" versus a non-traditional process that many have been doing it for years for a reason that we will not know for sure until they really spill the beans out of the bag. LG is a Tech Giant with a LOT of money to have some of the absolute best on their team, just like Samsung, and Apple. However, doesn't mean their approach will always be right in the eyes of consumers but I feel they are studying the market as best as possible to avoid post release problems such as Samsung's battery Issue and Apple's Hissing Issue where no pre-production units were given for preview before launch. Giving pre-production units earlier then the actual official announcement, LG may have felt would allow other companies (such as the many smaller up and rising companies like the One Plus 3, Axon, etc...) to piggy-back off their design. LG is trying their best to make a name for themselves, be different, start trends, and make themselves standout to a niche market. (Such as their Top of the Line Hi-Fi Audio Recording/Playback) By having the competition bring out the NEW products which smartphones nowadays are coming to a slight dead end with features, quality, and costs will start being the same or drop down in price, maybe LG decided to see all the NEW official releases, and finalize their V20 to be "BETTER NEW" than what we would assume to expect. Hopefully, LG is coming out with a surprise on fine tuning their product before the official release. (I hope they will fine tune White Balance on the LG V20 Display to come close to the majority of professional photographers & cinematographers market).
