My WhiteStone Dome is here!!!

Hey everyone! I came across something today that is really annoying. While i can be a bit OCD, I just hate that I am having this issue seeing as this protector cost as much as it does. My Whitestone Dome glass has been on my phone for a week. It was a perfect install with no issues whatsoever. Today i noticed a line on the let side of the phone close to the edge. It isn't exactly on the edge but close to it. There appears to be some time of residue or something, it is basically just a cloudy looking line (for lack of better words). I have done nothing to my phone; for example, it has not been dropped, been exposed to any extreme temperatures, nothing at all! The only thing i can think of is i took a shower this morning and my phone was on the counter. Maybe the hot steam made it's way through the air pockets? Has anyone else experienced any issue like this? Will it go away eventually? I am so sad lol:/

Did anyone else get a micro USB to USB c adapter? It doesn't work well with the included cable for the UV light. It does however pride all standard charge on my note 8 with every other micro USB cable.
Yes I got that with one of my WDG... Just know that you paid extra for it....

Just what I need.
[sigh]

After this fiasco, I'm honestly not sure if it's worth getting another one...

Hey man, I unfortunately have the same issue you posted about. I had a perfect install...then a week later...the oily looking air bubble thing has appeared close to the left side of the edge, not quiet on the edge though. It really sucks, because i love this protector! Did you ever figure out anything, or did it ever go away? thanks

Well I attempted fix my issue, but i failed. I had the unfortunate experience of throwing away a $50 dollar screen protector. I am thinking about giving it one more try; however, before i do, I wanted to ask if their was anyone that has had 0 problems with this protector. Can anyone confirm that after a perfect install, the whitestone glass is just as good as the first day they put it on? I had a perfect install, and then had a rainbow effect a week later. Thank you for response!

My first install got botched. Don't give up. My second install was way better.
If I wasn't 0.24mm too low, it would have been perfect.

Don't give up. Contact whitestone and see if they will work with you.

Mine has been installed for 3 days. I can't say anything about rainbow effect.

install went perfectly for me, I've had mine for a little over 2 weeks and can confirm it looks pristine today as it did on install day. buddy of mine installed his in sept 24th and yeah, his is still perfect as well. there shouldn't be any rainbow effect, I can't honestly think of what would cause it since the surface of the glass is mated basically directly against the screen. I know it's a pain but you should try to get some pictures of the rainbow effect, tricky I'm sure, and contact whitestone. I know they say they don't have any warranties but I've seen them show up in the comments sections on different retailer sites to reach out to people to fix any problems they've had. They seem decent, but then again I've never had to deal with them. good luck duder!

Thank you! I will give it one more try. I am currently waiting for a response from the company for some sort of feedback. I feel i did nothing wrong, or nothing that should have caused my issue. After another whitestone my total for trying to find an adequate screen protector will be over $100 dollars...smh!

Ugh, I screwed up the install and didn't realize it until I did the first curing and took the phone out of the tray! Have to get a new one, unfortunately, even though I got it off the phone without breaking it. I couldn't get the semi-cured adhesive off. Everything went okay, but the protector wound up being too far up on the phone and sticking over the top edge. Other than that, it looked awesome.

Try putting it in boiling water.... Don't know if it'll work but it seems like it should. Boiling water should liquify the glue...

Believe it or not... WD40... Used it to clean a few digitizer and rubbing alcohol

I'll pick up a can tonight and try it. Hopefully it will work and I didn't scratch the protector when I was trying to rub the adhesive off yesterday.

Well, no luck with the WD40, so I had to order another Whitestone. I'm glad I kept the extra wipes, tube of adhesive, and other stuff from the first kit, because I needed it on this one (due to my incompetence, lol). I had to remove it twice and begin again because of issues. First time, the tab wasn't in place completely, so the screen protector fell as I was trying to lower it and screwed everything up. Second time, it was positioned fine, but there was a big bubble that I couldn't get squeezed out. Third and final time, it was just a tiny bit too low, but everything else looked fine and I was worried that I'd screw it up more if I tried to nudge it up, so I left it. My current cheapo case works fine with it, and hopefully the one I have on order will work too, so I'm happy. I will never, ever do this again, though! Next time, I'm either not getting a screen protector, or I'll have to have someone else install it. This one was too much of a PITA.

Really.wow .sorry to hear that... . I have always had good luck removing the sticky loca from the digitizers. I have also used rubbing alcohol. I actually got the tip off a YouTube channel.... I am glad it worked out
