How many of you folks are running a case on this bad boy? Had my OtterBox on pretty much since I got this and I'm kinda missing the thinness.

Sent from my Razr Maxx dripping ICS all over the floor

No case. I'm pretty careful, and I have the insurance.

I would like to go naked too but I have kids sooo its really too dangerous. Children change the picture especially if you allow them to play games on the phone.

Ain't that the truth. To prevent my 3 year old from coveting my phone, I bought her a crappy old Blackberry on eBay for $15 so she can watch videos--works fine. When she starts preferring something with a touchscreen, I'll see if there's a cheap old Froyo phone on eBay that she can mess with.

Naked right now, but the plastic around the Kevlar and around the camera area is getting scratched up from laying it on my desk. Anyone having the same problem?

If you want to protect the phone from scratches but don't want or need a case, consider Gelaskins.

Skins for Motorola Droid RAZR / RAZR MAXX | GelaSkins

I had one for my Droid Incredible (the "Keep Calm and Carry On" one). They look slick and are easy to apply, also come off without difficulty.

I alternate between naked and a Seidio Surface case, which adds no appreciable thickness - at least, not enough to be noticable when I carry in my pants pocket, which I always do. The phone is prettier out of the case, but it still looks good even in the Surface.

I owned the Razr at one point and now the Razr Maxx. I would never use this phone without a case. The carbon fiber back and thinness of the phone make it really easy to slip out of my hand. That's why I look for cases that increase grip. The Aegis Trident case is on now and offers moderate grip improvement. I think the Otterbox Defender would probably offer the most.

That's brilliant, I didn't consider the child entertainment value of a clicky Blackberry. (there's a joke there, somewhere.)
I bought a case just to protect it from my two year old. She managed to unlock and change my wallpaper, but the hardware itself is safe for now.

I usually run my phones naked, but since I won't be upgrading phones any time soon (To keep my unlimited data) I put a regular case on mine to try and keep it new looking new for as long as possible.

By the way for what I use this phone for, it meets all of my current requirements and the battery can last me well over a day. No point on upgrading for now. :D
