Need A Phone Now! Screw The Thunderbolt I Jut Got An IPhone!

I can't wait for the TB. When it comes out next week and i hold it in my hand it will be the best feeling ever. After 4 months of waiting, it will be in my hand. On monday i rung out a customer who had an inspire 4G, i almost grabbed it lol.

I have a question. Since the Iphone has that insane insurance at $11/month and $200 deductible, will the TB be able to be grandfathered on existing insurance like previous phones?

I was able to grandfather my D2. I'd like to keep my $5.99/month insurance and $50 deductible as long as possible.

Although that is a phone I would NEVER get, if the OP is happy that's all that counts. If he/she finds later on he/she's made a mistake, he/she's the one that's gotta live with it. Best of luck to the OP.

Funny thing is I did the same thing. Its ok I really thought I would hate this phone but going from an OG droid to a incredible to an X to a Fascinate........This Iphone 4 isnt that bad. Still not as good as an Android, but whatever.

Whatever is best for you is what you should do. They are 2 different phones so I'm not going the iphone route. I'm sticking it out for my 1st Android the TB.

Im done with this on again off again launch. Love My IPhone!

Don't feel bad. After breaking my DINC's screen which I had since last april, I tried to wait for the TB. I tried the X and fascinate, both of which I didn't like. I then reluctantly bought a verizon iphone after my wife's prodding (I had preordered hers and she loves it). So I tried it. It's really nice and the build quality is stellar. The only things I don't like are 1. Google Maps -- I love it on android, 2. Lack of voice command integration, 3. the inability of safari to enlarge and wrap text on like the dinc's browser can.

Everything else, I actually prefer the Iphone for. I love the screen, feel that it has excellent voice quality, like facetime, and like the fact I can use skype video over 3g.

The screen size is just too small for me. There's no way I could get locked into a phone like that for 2 years.

I don't understand why people don't just go out and pick up a used DInc or Droid X for like $200 if their phone is so crappy and turn around and sell it after the TB comes out.

I have to go by Verizon today to get an iPhone since I can still switch with my extended 14 return period. I really don't care for iOS, but I'm not going to cry for the week or two(?) til the Tbolt comes out. It's still a pretty piece of hardware. Different strokes, you know

got my wife the iphone, she likes it, its a well built sturdy phone and iOS is decent for some people

I prefer android though and don't like iOS so I will be waiting for this phone or the Inc2
+1 I did the same thing

iOS is not bad... it is pretty good but I like Android phones better .. and I want Thunderbolt.... I have spent so many miserable weeks waiting for this phone now I am not hellbent on getting this phone. I want this and nothing else. Amen!!

If the iPhone 4G had a 4" or 4.3" screen it would have very likely already been a done deal for me. As it is 3.5" is too small a screen for me.

I will not waste my upgrade on another 3G phone - be it Android or iOS. I'm patiently waiting for the TBolt. My current phone may be a bit slow but it does what it needs to do, so it is not as if I'm phone-less. :) I know for a fact, I'd never get an iOS phone with the way iOS operates now. The iPod Touch I have (which was a company gift) has been close to being a victim of a sledgehammer more than once. I can't tolerate that OS. But, that's me.

I can't really see why you'd go for a 3G phone (Android especially) if you lived in a 4G area. I completely understand if you're not covered by LTE. And with the iphone. I don't get how people can complain the Thunderbolt will be outdated by the time it comes out. Isn't that the definition of the iphone 4 right now? Wait 3 months and get the iphone 5. I know several people (vzw and att) just waiting for the new one to come out. And I completely get that. That is a decent deviation from Android. But to each his own I guess.
