Need A Phone Now! Screw The Thunderbolt I Jut Got An IPhone!

I'd like to add that I dont really see there being an iPhone 5(anytime soon)... and if there is it probably wont be 4G-LTE compatible??

I just had my step-daughter, who bought a iPhone on the first day from Verizon, say: "The iPhone is not all everybody said it was. It's not all that great and mostly hype. It does however play music very well."

iOS is not bad... it is pretty good but I like Android phones better .. and I want Thunderbolt.... I have spent so many miserable weeks waiting for this phone now I am not hellbent on getting this phone. I want this and nothing else. Amen!!

Exactly, I don't know why Android fans can't give the phone credit where it's due. I love Android and everything it does but I'll be the first to admit that iPhone is def a solid phone and has a pretty strong target audience. People need to realise that just becuase a phone doesn't fit YOUR needs doesn't mean it sucks, it just isn't for you. And to the OP: Grats on your new iPhone, hope you enjoy it.

I sold my DroidX and reactivated my D1 just to be ready for the 4G phone wave thats coming. Currently I'm on the pre-order list at Best Buy for the TBolt but if anything better rumors to follow close I might hold out longer.

So I just traded in my Fascinate for the iPhone 4, end of my 14 day return, and I respect those that like iPhones and Macs, different strokes, but I really like the Android OS better than iOS. It just isn't as simple as the android layout, I like the buttons on the button better than everything built into the window, and the phone itself is really not fantastic (I feel like the glass on the back is just begging to get messed up).

Anyway, my plan was to buy this, buy the Tbolt when it comes out for full retail, and sell this one to make up the money gap. Unfortunately, they're starting some crap rule that now if you deactivate the iPhone from your account within the 181 days that you buy it, they charge you the $500 difference. The salesmen said it's to avoid people getting it on 2 years and selling it for double immediately. But it really puts a damper on my plan.

Now I really don't like Apple

I gave up on the Thunderbolt and got an iPhone last night. I know, the T-bolt is coming on the 24th probably, but my Droid Eris was dying and I couldn't wait. I'm happy with the iPhone, but I hope HTC raises cain with Verizon. I'm far from the only customer they lost because of these delays. I'm a big fan of Android, but I've never been an Apple hater like a lot of people seem to be. I don't get that. I'm going to miss widgets, the seamless integration of Google apps, and the Sense UI. That said, I happen to like the iOS too. Its smooth and doesn't come close to draining the battery like my Eris. Plus Netflix and Skype are nice to finally have on my phone. There really are trade offs to both. I may get to hop back over to Android and 4G in a year or so, but until then I'm more than happy with the iPhone. I'm still anxious to hear from everyone who is holding out for the Thunderbolt when it finally comes out. The phone is going to be amazing and hopefully will make the wait worth it. I'm fine with my decision, but to those wavering who still have a working phone, hang in there a little longer!

Personally if I had a phone I couldn't deal with anymore due to Battery life, age, damage, due for upgrade, or whatever I would get a free 3G android ( sweet deals at VZW right now ) and wait to see all the 4G phones that are coming and decide on which one of those to get instead of an settling on the iphone4 for $200+...

got my wife the iphone, she likes it, its a well built sturdy phone and iOS is decent for some people

I prefer android though and don't like iOS so I will be waiting for this phone or the Inc2

Well, iphones are made for women and children so that makes sense.

lol why does eveyrone hate on the iphone.. its an awesome device.. and it can be jailbroken to do more than a reg iphone can do..people seem to forgoet.. without iphone.. no android..just like without ipad.. no tablets..they are the innovators plain and simple..i have a droid 2 im not a droid hater..i love my droid 2 but give respect where its due..i dont blame him for getting an iphone.. i might just go down that path.. but then again im a mac user..i know how good apple is..not just some iphone zombie.lol.. it would compliment my mac to have a device that can auto sync my pics, music videos and all that good stuff.. yes i do it now with my droid2 but auto sync would just be a wee bit easier.... either way.. both are great operating systems.. dont hate on one just because you have the other... again.. if apple had not come out with the iphone.. would one of the other companies come out with or even thought about such a device? and would they have been as good as they are now if apple had not set the bar so high?.. just some food for thought..

i hear ya on this. but truth be told its not apple that makes these rules.. sometimes it is the carrier to keep people from bringing em back or from doing what it is u plan to do.. all you would be doing is selling it for what ever the full retail is.. at this point you couldnt sell it for rediculous amounts anywah.. its been out for a bit the hype is over.lol..its not like they lose money on it. .its not being returned..its just switching hands.. but what ever..i understand your frustration but maybe you should have thought it through a little more..lol

This is either a) untrue, or b) an idiot. If you wanted an Android handset, not only were you stupid to go to something completely different, but you bought it about 3 months before the next generation came out.

i work for verizon and i have never heard of that

i had the iphone while i waited for my tb i had 14 to play around with it. i hated it. it's not very user friendly for us simple folk. you cant just drop and drag songs or pics from your pc to the phone, you have to do it thru itunes, you cant delete pics from the phone from the pics you uploaded on it from your pc, you cant make a ring tone from songs you have on your phone, you have to do it thru itunes, blahhhhhhhhhhhhh too much work, so much easier with android phones. only thing i dont like with android phones is you dont get emails or fb notifications as fast as you would if you had a black berry. thats the only thing i like about blackberries, emails and notifications come thru right away.
