I upgraded to Marshmallow a couple of days ago and my phone instantly stopped functioning. I keep getting error messages "Unfortunately Gmail has stopped working", "Unfortunately Tile has stopped working", etc.

Also, when I plug my phone into my computer, now I can't access any files.
I run a business online and I need my phone, so I'd really appreciate some help.

So, I found a guide to downgrade Marshmallow to Lollipop.

[ http://www.techtimes.com/articles/141201/20160317/how-to-go-back-to-android-5-0-lollipop-from-android-6-0-marshmallow-problems-downgrade-samsung-galaxy-nexus-lg-and-motorola-smartphones.htm ]

After downloading the necessary files, and booting my phone as described, I ran command prompt on the folder and typed in the first command (fastboot.exe, not mfastboot.exe)...

Now it says "Waiting for device."

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

When I boot it (the phone) in Bootloader mode, there is a menu with a bunch of options. Am I supposed to chose one of these options? Or do I run the command while it is in the Bootloader menu?

One of the comments underneath the downgrade guide said you need to unlock Bootloader. How do I do that?

Please help me.
I'm very frustrated.

Thanks in advance,

Moved from the Marshmallow forum to the Moto G (2014) forum for more specific traffic.

If you'd prefer, I can move it back to General Help. The problem there is that it can get buried fairly quickly by the high volume of new threads. You can always bump your thread as well (at most once per day). With forums like this, sometimes you have to wait a while, even more than a week, before someone gives a good response.

Check over at the forums on xda-developers.com as well. Good luck!
