Hello,

Recently, my one S has developed near death symptoms. This started around a month ago, when i woke after a heavy night out to find my phone in a pool of water. It was saved purely by the fact i had some cash stored between the phone and the case. When the phone was dry it seemed operable apart from all three of the hard keys which were dead. All else seemed normal until the last few days when the phone switched it self off and then proceeded to be stuck in boot sequence, load until the carrier symbol, die and then loop in this order. I have tried to do a hard reset with out any success and also have tried to access the hard drive when i have it connected to my laptop. The drive appears for several seconds before disappearing and is not accessible.

Unfortunately i have no insurance on my contract as yet so i cant just return the phone. Is there any method i can use to take my data off the phones storage? Or even more unlikely is there any chance that i recover the phone by wiping and rooting the phone?

Any help would be much appreciated,

D.

That is a terrible story...
If there truely is water damage and causing that many issues... there is not much you can do
when you get a new android phone, sign into google, and put your sim in... you might be suprised on your information coming back,
but if you cannot connect to the computer then you will most likely lose your photos/videos/non cloud music etc.

hopefully when you go to (tmobile i assume) your carrier. hopefully they can transfer the data with the in store devices.
Good luck
