Need timer to sound on "Do Not Disturb" mode

My job requires the use of a timer to be set, and I need it to be loud so I can hear it. But then, all of my other notifications and phone calls go off too -- and loudly! I want to make it so that everything is silent except for the pre-installed timer. Is there a way to do this?

Every forum I've been to so far has mentioned exceptions with the alarm, but not the timer.

Thanks in advance!

I would experiment with 3rd party timers. That was my solution when I had this problem with alarms. Unfortunately, don't have any recommendations.

Samsung really screwed up the Do No Disturb function starting with an os update to the Note 4. Good luck.

+1 for Tasker. It's can do some cool stuff.

I did some looking into this, you should be able to select the clock as a priority allowing it to sound the timer in do not disturb mode but as usual Samsung half baked this feature and it does not work, surprising I know.

Only solution I found is download the third party timer, I put picture below. I've tried other third party timers and get the same result it doesn't work. But the timer below works you don't have to change the priority setting either, just download it and use it. Don't know why it bypasses the do not disturb setting, but in your case that's what you want.

I have the same issue. Downloading a third party app is a nice workaround, but less than ideal, since I typically set a timer by voice. Usually I can't take off my gloves to click around and set a timer manually.

Just downloaded the Google Clock app. The timer works while on Do Not Disturb if the app is listed as an exception. Also you can activate it by voice if you tell it to set a timer and switch the clock app on the voice screen. :)
