Netflix offer ending.

Figured I'd chime in too. I placed a Play Store order immediately upon announcement and then an Amazon order at 4:45 PM eastern time that same day. Here is the sequence of events in regards to delivery so far:

1. 7/25/13 at 10:37 AM - Netflix code via email for Google Play order
2. 7/25/13 at 11:37 AM - Chromecast delivered from Amazon
3. 7/26/13 at 11:34 AM - Chromecast delivered from Google Play
4. Pending - Netflix code for Amazon order

I'm sitting in my car outside of the local Best Buy store right now. (1225PM Friday 7/26)
Just bought my 3rd Chromecast a few minutes ago and the Netflix code was still printed
on the receipt. I don't understand why Best Buy can still give the codes out, but Google
Play Store and Amazon.com can't.... oh well.

Just a guess.... But I'm thinking that the Netflix code was tied to each Chromecast? So, if each BBY store (not BBY.com) has 100 Chromecasts, does that mean that they have 100 Netflix codes??

I'd guess the units sent to physical stores were already pre-accounted for, while online orders were either 1) generated on the fly, or 2) came from a completely separate pool of codes.

Yes, that makes sense. In other news, my nearest local Best Buy stores
has now sold out of the 200+ Chromecast that they received. I'm responsible
for buying 3 of those.

I ordered mine from BestBuy this morning (7/26 6am CDT) and picked it up at local store at 4pm CDT. Within 5 minutes of pickup I had received an email with the NetFlix code. At 5pm I logged on, entered the code in and got full credit for it. Lucky me!

Hope my best buy has some tomorrow. Ordered on amazon on the 25th so not sure I'll get the code from them.

The Play Store says my order will not ship until Aug. 7, so I'm not feeling very confident about Google honoring their offer.

Same here but since I ordered before they can cancelled the Netflix offer I'm not concerned. It should be honored if it was valid at time of ordering.

Offers still good for retail outlets. I picked up one today from Best Buy and was able to activate Netflix promo code.

I wonder what sequence they're processing orders. A coworker bought one Thursday morning from the Play Store and they're telling him 2-3 weeks. I told him he should have gone to Best Buy during lunch Thursday and picked one up in person, but some people have to learn the hard way.

I ordered from Google on July 25th around noon PST and the Netflix deal still showed from the page I ordered from. I even clicked on the button directly from that page. So I expect them to honor the deal. I'll report back once I get my shipping confirmation.

Received my shipping notification on 7/28, and it should arrive this week. No Netflix code so far, more than 48 hrs after the notification.
