NO, flash does not work on the processor we have in our Optimus V, and it most likely never will.
See, Jerry... Why... Why you gotta remind me of that? Huh?! WHY?!
Great.
Now I need to be cheered up. Maybe sometime tonight mmarz will raise someone's Oppy from the dead or something...

there's hope, guys...
get_flash_videos, which lives on google code, works in debian on my v well enough to capture flash,
and its player tries to function through the VNC, but drops tons of frames because of the display overhead.
and, also, gnash (linux free flash alternative) won't play videos through the VNC but it will play flash ads.
someone savvy enough could mod get_flash_videos to pop up an Android window;
since it's not a browser plugin it calls its own window when used as a player.
I haven't gotten far enough yet in my new-language acquisition to write a SurfaceFlinger based app to supplement Xwindows.
sorry to get off topic, if anyone wants to discuss flash on debian for the v maybe we can open a new thread.
on topic:
this thread makes it possible that we'll buy a Netflix subscription now, where we wouldn't have otherwise.
makes me wonder, too, why they don't open their app deliberately to any device which can run it, just for the added customer base...
