I have AndExplorer so I opened up the zip file in my SD card and clicked on install then it told me e app could not be installed so I guess I don't know what being a root user is about. I will just have to wait for it to be able to be available for everyone. I even tried to download the black market.

i just recieved my DX like 5 days ago and it got in update for it like 1 day later for market i was like whatever lol.

I flashed this on my DINC running the latest version of Virtuous. When I look under "My Apps" instead of listing everything as "installed" it either says "free" for the free apps, or "purchased" for the apps I actually paid for. I am wondering how it's going to give me updates now. Is there any way to revert back to the old market?

When I try to install using the zip or. apk it says ' there is a problem parsing the package'.

Please help! I downloaded the zip file and installed it from the recovery mode. It said successfully installed, so I rebooted my phone. When it started back up I could not find it. The place where my old market was on my homescreen looked different. It looked like a piece it paper behind a gear. When I clicked on it it said that was no longer on phone! So I lost my old market and did not gain the new one! What did I do wrong?! Please help!!! BTW I have a rooted HTC Hero CDMA running 2.1 and I have Fresh Hero 2.4.0!

tried flashing this zip and it said:

E: Missing file:
system/app/com.wsandroid.apk
E: Verification failed

Installation aborted.

I've also tried the APK version and still nothing.

Any ideas how to fix the above error?

I am using FroydVillain ROM (v1.6). I will try to update to the latest version and then try again.

apk wont work for most roms so use the zip file and flash it in recovery:

I had the same issue. I went settings>applications>manage applications. Then I clicked on market and cleared the cache and data. This fixed the problem and now all my apps are listed as "installed" instead of purchased or free.

Try manually removing your sd card. And downloading an app...then try again with the sd card inserted
