I had the Moto 360 in the past, the series of Samsung Gear watches including the Gear S, so, I decided to try out the Asus Zenwatch. So far, I am pleased with the device and hoping that the battery on the Zenwatch is better than the battery on the 360.

One question about the watchband, do most people feel that it is uncomfortable? I am sort of in between 2 sizes so, I am just wondering. I assume that in the event, I do not like the band, I can just swap it out for another.

Also, which wellness app do you go with? The Fit (which I assume is made by Google) or the Asus Wellness app?

Thanks

As far as battery life, I turned off the always on and tilt to turn on features, and have disabled most persistent notifications. I use Watchmaker premium and although it has an intermittent crash bug which causes the display to come on when it restarts, I manage to get at least 3 days on a charge and once got four days. Without the crashing I believe I will get almost 5 day.

As far as the band, I like it and as I am a big guy (6'4" and 260) I have it adjusted to the largest size, and it is quite comfortable. I've been losing weight so will need to tighten it up soon. I usually like metal bracelet watchbands, but this works great in leather. Color is OK, perhaps a gray or charcoal would be better.

I don't use any of the wellness apps. Watchmaker has a feature which can display steps since midnight. Unfortunately, if you need to restart the watch it also resets to 0, but rarely need to do that. I do wish the watch could read pulse rate without manual intervention since I have an extremely low resting pulse rate that I would like to monitor closer.

Yea. Got a nice black leather standard clasp for a store. Much more comfortable on my nerve damaged wrist.

I don't need more than a day plus for battery so I let things run. Get a day and not more than a half.
Samsung Health is better fitness stuff on my Samsung Fit but I do check steps on the Zen.
I use Runtracker but comparing me to whatever the average RunTracker gets does not help. They mostly are not battling spinal cord damage. Might look at Fit again; It was not good last time I looked.

I think the included leather strap is extremely comfortable, and I like how it's very easily adjustable as well. The relative lightness of the watch also means that it doesn't shift around on my wrist that easily, if the band is on a looser setting.

I just use Fit, although I don't wear the watch when I'm working out. Don't want to start discoloring the leather band with sweat!
