New Droid Charge Update

Update: Turns out the FP1 update had nothing to do with my loss of 4G service. Instead, Verizon found a signal problem in my area and fixed it. Now 4G is strong as ever.

I found that interesting. I wonder if the shorten battery life might be related as well. Do you see any improvement there?

I noticed my phone could melt butter after the update. Its hot in my defender case and even hotter without it.

I noticed the other day when I used the navigation in maps, my entire phone got really warm. Has any one else noticed this or talked to Verizon about it?

I have but their solution is a battery pull or factory reset...

so basically they were no help at all. Why don't I find it hard to believe. Seems like even Samsung has given up on this phone. It is a shame because this phone could have been so much more....

Interesting...

I am getting frustrated with this phone and considering going the Tweaked route. Being a true novice with respect to replacing the kernel..etc....are there some good instructions somewhere that goes through how to do it step by step?
Thanks!

I would also like to know if there are any step by step instructions for updating this phone. I'm tired of hearing my wife complain about it.

updating like what? updating to the latest update of FP1, or putting a new ROM in?
if you look through the Droid Charge forums you can find step by step expl to everything you need and even more. Sorry dont mean to be rude but the post you put up is not realy clear to what it is exactly you want to update on the phone.
