New FirmwareUpdate?

Called VZW, still no info on Verizon 3g update. I'm a little worried with their price slashing on the watch that they may be done with it. Grr. Fingers crossed that I'm wrong. (Because I got rid of my BT version for the 3g)

Can't imagine they would stop updating it after just 1 year. I mean they would be angering a large number of folks that have taken advantage of their current deal.

Been with them for 12 years.... While they used to be slow with updates and quick to drop support for devices, I've been pleasantly surprised with how they have handled them recently. They are still updating the Note 3 and 4...so I'm being optimistic about their gear support.

I haven't received an update on my note 3 since Aug 25th 2015... that's basically a year......
 
I had the same problem as some othrrs; installed the update, didn't get the update features & my notifications quit working. Cleared the gear app cache, hard reset the watch, uninstalled the gear app reinstalled the app & reconnected the watch, nothing worked.

Called Support, they had me go into my phone settings & reset the settings back to the factory settings (not a factory reset). No luck. After that they had me go to a Samsung Experience store & have them try to reinstall the update, no luck.

After 2 days of no notifications as a last resort I wiped the phone's partition cache, restarted the phone, restarted the watch & boom notifications are working correctly again. Hopefully I'm not jinxing myself but after several days, so far so good.

Wish i had the update features, but I'm glad to have my notifications back. Hope this helps.
 
New update borked my notifications, they no longer work. I have reset watch and gear manager, but no luck.dont update if you can avoid it!

Okay so been checking for update every once in awhile and would get the usual message... have latest update blah blah. Well tonight it says registration failed... any ideas? Right before that the watch was acting wonky. BT failure and wouldn't power down for a sec
 
I just got a software update to version BPC7. I have 3g model on Verizon. Of course I failed to get a screen shot of the updated features but I don't really see anything different. I even checked some of the features from the value pack update like UV index in weather but I don't see it.

Got a verizon update. I see nothing different. Supposed to have Samsung pay and bug fixes. Not seeing SP. Really was hoping to get the sleep tracking.
 
Spoke to the Samsung pay help number. They said its is still a closed beta, and that the Verizon website is wrong.
 
Well regardless I get registration failed while trying to update. Been on the phone with Verizon/and Sammy and neither said it was a fake. Samsung has given me a manufacturer warranty ticket but if any one may have an idea here please feel free to suggest
 
What's ridiculous is this update was supposed to include sleep tracking but I can't find that anywhere. That coupled with the Samsung Pay fail and I have absolutely no idea what this "update" is for....
