I am not trying to be combative at all, I am coming from a place of being an android noob to reading days and days worth of threads to try and be as educated as I can about my phone because I really dig this stuff.
What would be helpful instead of you just requesting to have this closed is if you would use what is obviously a significant amount of android knowledge to address what people have posted.
I for one would LOVE to get your opinion on flashing the new radio. Do you think
that the official release will have a different radio? If it does are we screwed if we have updated to the current radio available?
Also what about the battery issues with the current 2.2, are those gone in the new leak?

I've had a chance to review this thread.
1.) We strongly encourage ROM development and encourage those who do so to participate in our forums. Half the fun of owning these phones is to hack them and do what we want with them.
2.) We're going to institute new rules around posting ROM's, that require ROM developers to either provide instructions on how to root/flash or link to threads that provide this information. If people still ask questions on how to root/flash, then the chef can either use the "report post" button so we can remove it, or they can kindly point them in the right direction. Their choice. We will also require a list of known bugs, missing apps, included apps, and a list of credits for all sources. This is standard protocol in all forums that post ROM's and it will be here as well.
3.) If a chef is preparing to post a ROM, and would like to start a new thread, which includes several reserved posts, the chef must PM a mod and have them lock it. This thread went totally sideways, before any content was even posted.
4.) Some of you guys may not know me, but I know who you are. I monitor these forums continuously. Each one of you is equally valuable, and I would hate to lose any of you because you lost your temper and started violating every forum rule we've instituted. Before you push the submit button on a post that includes foul language, name calling, or any other prohibited behavior, please stop yourself, take a deep breath, and if you're still ticked off at someone please report the post and/or PM myself or one of the mods. Regardless of who you are, and how long you've been with us, you are required to treat everyone with respect, and follow the rules of the forum.
This thread will remain locked. If you have opinions, questions, or additional input in regards to #2 & 3 above, please let me know. They are about to become part of the forum rules.
