New here, geezer still mourning that my VZW MVNO orphaned my Blackberry .

I try to use technology, but do not embrace all of it yet; maybe never, we'll see... it is necessary, though, in order to stay in touch with my children.

Otherwise, I live on the Florida Gulf Coast and am retired. Wife, too.

All the best,

Bullwinkle

Former BlackBerry user here too. Although I switched over to Samsung 6 and half years ago, I do still keep an old BlackBerry Z10 around (only on Wi-Fi) just to see how much longer it'll last.

Welcome, Bullwinkle! 🖐️

I still have my Blackberry Bold 9900. Not sure why I'm hanging on to it. I switched to Android 10 years ago when T-Mobile stopped supporting Blackberry.

Welcome to Android Central. What new device did you get to replace the Blackberry?

When it appeared as though the writing was on the wall, I tried to wean myself off of the physical keyboard with a BlackBerry Z30, of all things. Then the darned buggers came out with the Passport and I just had to have it. I didn't have that Z30 for very long and didn't return to a virtual keyboard until 2020 (the KeyOne and Key2 just confirmed that I was a glutton for punishment). I am much better now, but I sure miss the good old BlackBerry days.

Ohhhh, The Passport!! 😃 I really wanted one but for some reason, it never happened.

I miss a lot of things about BlackBerry. Those physical keyboards were amazing to use, at least, for me. The models I had were very durable also.

The Passport was one of my all-time favourite phones. I think many, if not most, of us who used BlackBerry devices (and their iconic physical keyboard) were dealt a serious blow when they stopped making their amazing phones. I, like many others (including the OP) held on as long as we could. R.I.P. BlackBerry.

Bullwinkle, many of us have felt your pain. I hope you were able to find a replacement device that works well for you. I love my Pixel 8 Pro and, just like the BlackBerry Passport, it is one of my favourite phones of all-time.
