new Gingerbread ruu 2.11. on xda

Has anyone done a speed test on 2.11 yet and if so what have the results been?

Thanks in advance?

I'm not sure they would be, however one thing I will say is that from what I noticed, 2.07's radio seems to be the best. The MR2 radio worked fine, but on booting up on a fast boot, it could take 20-30 seconds to acquire a 4G connection. The 2.07 build seemed to acquire 4G signal within 5 seconds. 2.10 (my current build) can acquire it quickly as well, but sometimes it does not acquire a data signal at all, and it seems to drop data signal randomly and the only way to get it back is to do a standard reboot. Voice signal is solid, though. I tested this with and without Juice Defender installed, just to eliminate that as the suspect.

Has anyone with the 2.11 noticed this issue with fast boot not acquiring a data signal?

2.10 dropped data for me as well. By toggling the Mobile Network was able to restore it. Currently, running 2.11 (complete RUU).

=recDNA;1197906]Thanks for the explanation (duh) but why would I want to limit people.to 2 minute.messages?

Ive never had a problem with the voicemail length... usually my messages are less than 10 seconds...

"Hi, call me back when you get this"

Just curious do I have to root my Thunderbolt to install the Gingerbread 2.11 . How do I install it to the route of the SD card ? Does anyone have a step by step to do so please ? I am so tired of the battery issues , unresponsive screen when on charge are the major ones for me . Thanks hope somemone can point me in the right direction .

ruu through a windows computer... there may be a .zip that you can stick on the root of the sd card and boot into the bootloader and install it

Any videos out there of Gingerbread running on the Thunderbolt? I can't see to find any up to date ones on youtube.

It looks pretty much identical to Froyo because HTC only gave us sense 2.1. I'm slightly dissapointed in how similiar it looks to the Froyo build.

We've been talking for months in this forum about how you would see little to no outward display differences on an HTC Sense phone. Did you notice those posts? :)

+1. I prefer the .zip method. Can someone let me know what mode the phone (Disk Only, HTC Sync....) should be in, in order to get the HTC updater on the .exe leaks to recognize the phone? Every time I tried to flash my phone using the .exe, it wouldnt recognize that my phone was connected to the computer.

I had debugging turned on then had the phone in charge only mode. Worked just fine for me.

I'm trying to update the thunderbolt from the thunderbolt using astro to rename and move to root of sd card then flash in h boot but it does not recognize like the 2.10 version did am I doing something wrong because I cannot figure out why it doesn't recognize. Do I still name it pg05img.zip or update.zip or something else altogether

Answered you in another post. This is a .exe, not a .zip. It doesnt work like that. Run it from your computer. I havent seen a .zip for 2.11 update.

There is a zip version on XDA that you flash in HBoot.

So I d/l and installed a few days ago and now I wish to return to Froyo because nothing seems to interest me with gingerbread until they get all the quirks figured out (No VM notification, battery life seems to be worse etc.) I have searched for a way to do this, but keep coming up empty handed. Has anyone seen a post that explains this or knows how? Any help is appreciated!:)
