I have seen a lot of people praising this phone. I have it in hand. The display is fine. It is not as bright as the S7 but where I live (SE FL) I can see the screen just fine in bright, bright sunlight.

Here in the US we haven't gotten the camera update yet so yes, the camera is not super great right now, but from what I have read, after the update it is quite a bit better and faster.

There was a system software update that mentioned the camera during my initial setup, and then today, I had an update to the camera app in google play. Not sure if this is the one we're all waiting for.

And loving the phone so far. To me this is just a faster, better reception version of my M8 (with slightly worse speakers), so a net plus overall.

Hmmmm do let me know how the update works out. Or the camera itself regardless if it's updated or not. I really want to hear it from the users.

Phil, weren't you just saying last week that there was no update, that you guys had the current firmware AND that it wouldn't really fix any issues anyhow ?

Here's another comparison pre- and post-update. Judging from these pictures, the improvement is significant.

@Phil...I was confused because in another thread you said:

I was under the impression that this latest update fixed, or rather adjusted the auto exposure values to something lower. Seemed like the camera was great, just overexposing stuff and finding focus issues in earlier reviews and this seemed to "fix" that. Am I wrong to draw that conclusion ? The photos in this review look great. I may go with this phone after my Iphone lease is up, unless the 11 is better !
