New HTC One M9 Image leak

I'll be looking elsewhere for my next replacement if the M9 is similar to the M8 /current rendering. The M8 is a great design but when I decide to update my phone to an more up to date model I want a newer different design. The update from the M7 to the M8 was just enough of a design change to make me want the M8.
I'll wait a couple of months after the latest release of mobile's to decide on my next phone. Spec, battery and functionality will all be considered.
I'll say it will be a tough call between the S6, M9 and Z4. Although with Sony looking at selling their mobile business I might give that phone a miss altogether....

Not sure I can wait for the G4, my GS3 is getting on my nerves. Maybe they start dropping hints after the WMC.

personally i think the new renders will be spot on. htc doesn't need to redesign the phone every year. good thing is 2015 will bring alot of other phones. g4, one+2, s6. take your pick if the m9 doesn't interest you. myself i wont spend over $450-500 on a phone full price.

You are aware that the gflex 2 is going for $750 off contract?
What makes you think that the G4 will be cheaper?

Edit : sprint is saying about $500 off contract. But I'm not sure if this is finalised in pricing.

Why is your GS3 getting on your nerves?

It's almost 3 years old now. TW is very laggy, the phone overall is just slow, battery is shot, I know I can replace it but I'd rather just get a new phone, the body is beat to heck. Still works though, tough little sucker that's for sure. I'll wait until the new batch is out (not waiting until the fall for Moto though)

I use it for work so the slowness/lag is the big issue for me but I have to say, if I would replace the battery it would still keep going on and on and on...

I actually think that the latest renders are real, but for the M8i. If you haven't seen them , it is a spec bump in an M8 shell. I still think that EVleaks renders are the real deal.

Sounds like @upleaks wants to be credible. On they're cooperating with HTC on their false flag tactics.

This is all click bait. I'm sure these site have a counter, tabulating all visits. It's best to just wait til Sunday.

Agree 100%. HTC knows it will not gain back market share with essentially just a slightly modified M8 design. I truly think the evleaks pics are the closest to what will be revealed as the M9. Think about it...samsung is going to release an S6 edge and a metal and glass S6...do you really think HTC would just say "ehh let's just put a better camera on it and leave the design basically the same and we can gain market share on the S6". No way. If the "modified M8" design ends up being the M9 then HTC is dumber than I thought and it would be the first nail in their coffin. Either those modified M8 images are fake or it's a lower cost version of the M8 to compete on a lower price tier like the Iphone 6/ Iphone 5.

Oh, and you're seriously going to believe @upleaks over @evleaks? Seriously?

Not really sure I can believe either since I don't know them, but @upleaks just posted 3 videos as well -> Edit: New link that is alive again -> https://twitter.com/upleaks/status/570315632891338752

Note that I only had time to watch the intro video before it was all taken down. The intro video looked like the image @upleaks posted earlier. He has taken the videos and post down now claiming that his friend told him it was too dangerous to have them posted.

Please note that I'm not saying this is legit or @evleaks is legit... I thought this was just a place to post things relating to the M9. Either of those people could be right or maybe HTC made multiple phones with multiple press releases just to mess with everyone, I don't know. It would be pretty smart to leak different things to the biggest leaking accounts and watch the results.

Droid-life snagged one of the videos -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNmwNxf0f0g

I'm completely with you. More and more leaks are popping up with this design, which is very disheartening. I was sold on the previous leaks, but looks the S6 is shaping up to be a very nice phone.

Exactly. Both companies know that the hype surrounding both devices since the beginning of the year has been huge. That's what they want. It's a case of one hand washing the other. The company execs just sit back and watch these "leaks" come out, and are entertained. Tech sites need these leaks to create traffic. All these sites surely have data analytics in order to track clicks on links, etc. The positive or negative reactions to the content of the links, once clicked, generates and increases the hype and conversation.

I find it a little hard to believe that HTC would change nothing but the camera housing and call it a day, especially since Samsung seems to be hinting at making a huge design change to the Galaxy line, but the amount of leaks flowing out do make it a little damning. Though I don't really recall and phone leaked this much with the design being completely different from the leaks, though I could be wrong.

I sure hope HTC didn't settle on this bag of chips design for their flagship device. If so, they are screwed three ways to Sunday.

Totally agree. If they come out with a slightly changed M8 they'll go out of business. Won't happen...no way. The M8 was an excellent phone that looked dorky, it lagged behind it's competitors, they won't repeat that design for the 3rd year in a row. Upleaks just fell to joke status.
