This morning I traded in my lg v10 for a new v20 at the verizon store. I took it home to get it all set up. It was in the process of downloading cloud content and installing apps when it started really lagging. I figured it was because it was doing so much at once but honestly I wasnt thrilled. Within another couple of minutes it had completely froze. I couldn't get it to do anything! Wouldn't go back to home screen and wouldn't respond at all. Thankfully a battery pull fixed it but now I'm worried. Is this a fluke? A picture of problems to come? What do you think? My LG V10 never ever froze up on me like that!

So far I'm not impressed. I have had mine 2 days and battery life has been garbage. So bad I factory reset it and still having the same issue. Thinking I'm either going to exchange for a pixel xl or just get the Moto z force and be done with it.

This is one reason I'm thinking more about not pre-ordering, or at least waiting for a handful of reviews to come out on new flagships

When you setup any new phone to restore apps, etc... you should really just leave the phone alone and let it do it's thing. There is so much downloading/installing, of course it will lag if you try and use it.

I made the note 7 do that once.... XD which was when I found out how to do a simulated battery pull on it lol.. once it all set and done I dont think the phone will have issue.

If you download an app. from the play store, the phone freezes for some time while the app. is being installed.

It's working fine now...do you think verizon will let me exchange it?

That's what I was wondering...if maybe too much was going on at one time but honestly I've set up every phone ive ever had this same way and this is the 1st time I've had one freeze up like this. I'm gonna keep an eye on it. Anything else odd happens I'm taking it back.

Anything could happen when a new phone is activating and downloading. I've seen weird stuff before. See how it goes for a few days.

You actually got it at a Verizon store? I didn't think they had them in store yet. Oh well, mine should be here tomorrow and it's not like I'm saving much time if I went to the store. XD

It depends on the store. Last Friday my Verizon didn't have it which I already knew. I just wanted to buy a case and they didn't have them and wouldn't get them until the phones came in I forgot the exact date 25th or 28th. I called Verizon customer service today and they told me that store should have them and when I told him that I was told they wouldn't get them for a few days they said well not all stores might have them.

As another user has stated, I would bring it back immediately; especially since it's still within a return window time period. A phone that new should not be lagging or freezing.

That's what I'm doing...trying to pick up as much info before pulling the trigger

Yep, got it this past Monday. Btw the one I got WAS a lemon. It froze up another time during the day and all I was doing was downloading 1 app. I took it back to Verizon same day and the manager swapped it out for me no problem at all. New one has been wonderful, no problems at all!

I did. It was a lemon. Froze up again for no reason. They exchanged no questions with no problem. New one is perfect
