If this was true then some of us who ordered early would have our phones. That's clearly not the case. They're definitely shipping in reverse order. Go back through this thread.

It said delivery in 3-5 business days. It also said they would ship on Tuesday with only one expensive 2 day shipping option. No matter how many backorders went trough they knew how many they had to ship and have failed, whether it comes by Wednesday or not. Should have had the infrastructure to at least ship the phones they knew they had in stock by the day promised or they shouldn't have promised. I ordered at 11:33 est and have heard nothing from Google either way. Not that I am pissed... Oh yeah, I am.

Exactly what this guy says.....I ordered same time as you. I don't even have a confirmation yet and it def hasn't shipped out.
Idk if its shipping in reverse order or what, but it isn't shipping in a FCFS basis.
i already eat my nails, drink all my coffee!!!!!!!! without sleep for 2 days

Thought you guys would like to see this (or maybe not...).
I called CS Tuesday afternoon to complain that I had not received a confirmation email and was told not to worry about it. A few minutes after that call I received a brief follow-up email. Yesterday at around 12:30pm I replied to that email asking for an update on my order status. Just now, 23 hours later, I received the following:
"Thank you for contacting us. At this point your order is still in the chargeable state. which means it's just waiting to be picked up by UPS. As long as you don't receive an email about a backorder by the end of tomorrow then you're golden, though the order still may be backed up for a few extra days."
EXCUSE ME?? Are you freakin' serious??

Wouldnt be so sure about that I ordered a 16gb at 11:33 and a 8gb at 12:03. Just received my 8gb but no 16. The 16gb still shows as shipping Nov 15 in play store and pending in Wallet. I have not gotten any emails other than first confirmation about the 16gb.
I've had the same thing happen to me (I have chase as well). So I called up Chase CS and asked why the charge had been removed. They told me that the hold up was on Google Play's end and I should contact them. So I called Google Play CS and asked them what was the deal and they said that everything was still good on their end and due to the mass amount of orders its probably going to take a little longer to get my update and status email. They also told me if I haven't received a back order email then my order did in fact go through and is getting ready to ship. I did a little research to find out why the charge had been removed and found out that chase removes all pending transactions after two business days, but this is no big deal because when Google updates their side the charge will go through like normal. So everything should be all good.

Yep, I'm hoping so too. I already have a Nexus 7 but this will be my first Android phone.
I was so stoked then this Google launch nightmare happened and its killed any joy and excitement for me...
Just hoping when I do finally get mine, my joy and excitement will return and this nightmare would have been worth it.

Just wondering, anyone earlier than my 8:32 PST? I know there are a couple of 8:33s out there.
I accidentally ordered 4 , 1 -16GB and 3 -8GB because I kept getting errors and didn't know if any of the orders went through. I received confirmation e-mails for all the orders but not in time to cancel any of the extras (I only wanted one 16GB). My wallet showed 3 of the orders with shipping date estimate of 11/15 and one said pre-order.
I just received a shipping confirmation with tracking number for one of the 8GB orders. It was the order that went through last, approx. 12:10 EST.
I was going to offer the extra ones (if I do get them) to members who weren't successful (same price just pay cost to ship),but I just read I do not have enough posts to sell on this board
If you look on UPS site, there's a '>' on the left side that indicates to 'Packages in this shipment (1)'. If you click the arrow, it will show grid below it and show the delivery date.
I placed my order at 8:35am PST. My order still shows "Shipping estimate: November 15, 2012" but I've received no e-mails either with shipping details or telling me my device has been backordered. I called Google this morning and they told me that if you didn't receive the backorder e-mail you likely will still be getting a device from the first shipment. She also told me if you don't get a shipment e-mail by sometime on the 17th it was likely that the order will is backordered. I guess the good news is they are still, apparently, going to be shipping more devices today and tomorrow.
Finally! I have been in limbo and just got my shipping email just now. Ordered 11:45 EST. To those that have not received back order emails...yours is more than likely coming its just backed up.

Just received tracking email. Arkansas ordered 1 8gb no bumper 12:35 central time. Had been in limbo, thankfully i'm out now.
Lucky guy, i ordered 2 hrs ahead of you... still in nowhere land....i seriously wonder how Google search is working...did they copy it also?.... something to think about... for the heck of it they should have used Google search to find the sorted list.
Funny thing is that is exactly what they said yesterday, if you dont get the email by the 16th then so on...now its the 16th so they now say the 17th and it will continue this way until either the world ends of december 21, 2012 or forever.
My N4 8GB and Bumper package is also 2.5 lbs. My separate order of an N10 is a 2.8 lbs. package.
