New Nexus 4 purchase: Anyone get a shipping notification or tracking number?

Still safe as I haven't received a back order email, but also, still in limbo as I haven't heard anything..... sigh
 
Man i feel so sorry for you, indeed i was in the same position till today, until i got the f**king backorder email from google at 4.45 pm est

Meh. I still want the phone, I sold my Blackberry 9900 two weeks ago for this, and I'm using an old Nokia E5.

The only thing that's driving me crazy, is that my co-worker who ordered after me, and is shipping to the exact same location as me, already has his shipped and on its way. Mine is on back order. Go figure. I'm trying to bribe him into letting me have it, since he didn't even want one in the first place and I talked him into it.
 
I've said it before but, Google isn't a device company and this is their pet project. Their money comes from ads. This is probably just something they did to tease Apple. This hasn't made it into the MSM because this isn't were Google's money comes from. It doesn't bug investors. The reason why Apple and Nintendo got blasted in the media is because that's what they do. Google has done this with the Galaxy Nexus and the Nexus 7. I guess less people were ordering than those who ordered the 4.

I didn't order my 7 when it first came out. When I ordered it said shipping in 2-3 weeks. I got mine two days later and those who were back ordered were still waiting. I was surprised when I got the shipping email. I even called them. The rep said I got the new stock and those who were waiting must have had a shipment coming to fill their orders. It was stupid then and still is.



Anyone feel that Google is never going to publicly apologize, or say anything, or even give a straight answer? I think they're sweeping this under the rug, basically.

Frankly, I went into this excited and happy, since it would be my first Android phone and I've always been a Google supporter. My thoughts on Google have changed because of this, which is unfortunate, but they simply haven't done a single thing right with this launch.
 
Looks like they are shipping again right now, someone on red flag deals just got a tracking number/email 5 minutes ago or so. Here's to still having hope!
 
So if none of our orders get shipped today that would put it out of the 3-5 range...so not only did we who ordered first get screwed but we also got taken for the promised shipping arrival dates....this is hands down the worst experience I have had with ordering something online. I talked to a rep who told me my order has not been processed (ordered at 8:32am) and he didn't know how UPS is handling the shipments but he would send my order to a specialist and add a note to request free shipping.....he also stated he was going to send me an email stating that....that was hours ago and no email....I think it is safe to say I will not be ordering any other device from Play again when it is released...whoever heard of last come first served...not too mention the company has not acknowledged this....and the email I sent hours ago....nothing like screwing over customers...

Meh, still expected a lot better. I'm tempted to go buy a Nexus tablet from a store around me to use until January (extended returns because of the holidays) and then return it. Who knows how long I'll be waiting for this phone.
 
I would give them until Monday morning. Not that they deserve it but, the site did say it could take a few days for processing. That, and many have heard that if you didn't get a back order email you will get your device soon.

I am a phone call away from canceling this order. I'm in the dark and no one knows anything and I can do better things with my money since Turkey day and black Friday is next week. If nothing by tomorrow I'm done F**k it I'm done, washing my hands of this frustration and stress I don't need in my life. I have enough to deal with and we on the east side NYC specifically haven't had a good month first it was the hurricane then gas sold out everywhere for 3 weeks, trains not running and then a snow storm now Google pulled this .... I now understand how some people can go nuts and start shooting up the place.

Don't bother cancelling it. I cancelled three devices on Tuesday, and they're still pre-authorized on my credit card with no changes.

It'll take longer for you to get your money back than it will for you to get the phone.
 
I don't think they count weekends. So, 3-5 business days. That would put you out until Tuesday next week.

Yeah, I expected more as well but, they keep doing things the way they have and we all keep buying the devices. The only people who are probably concerned about this is the CSR. They have to hear it from the angry customers. That is why this isn't a news story. You probably won't get an apology either. Those who ordered the 7 are still waiting for that. It seems as if this is how they do things and they don't care if we like it or not. Buy it or not, they don't care.

3-5 is processing plus shipping time...so today being the 16th is the the third day...shipping 2 day...if it ships Monday...2 day would be Weds...which would be 6 days....

I got excited last night when an e-mail from MyUPS came through last night with an arrival date of today! Then I realized it wasn't the Nexus....just some photobooks we had ordered on Monday (which had cheap shipping because it wasn't guaranteed to arrive until 11/29). Then earlier today I get an e-mail from Google telling me "Great news, your order has shipped"....yeah it's the freaking bumper I can't use because you haven't processed my phone order yet.
 
Must have recevied something different. When I ordered, it said it could take 3-5 business days to process the order not so much process and ship.

3-5 is processing plus shipping time...so today being the 16th is the the third day...shipping 2 day...if it ships Monday...2 day would be Weds...which would be 6 days....
