New Note 2 owner with some questions

People should always include screen on time in battery discusions. Heavy, light, etc is very subjective.

Personally with the LTE Note 2 (using 2g/3g), I find that I generally get 22 hours with around 6-8 hours of screen on time.

My worry is that if I don't use the phone much, i'd still get around a day (maybe slightly more) with around 3 hours of screen time. I find my phone drains on idle more than it should. I have tried many battery tips and have identified and eliminated every noticable wakelock, as well as disabling most syncing and removing un-needed apps. Turned off google now and locations, and removed svoice, etc. Literally have done everything worth doing, or so it seems.

My guess would be poor reception is the cause of my draining, combines with the LTE variety using more slightly more battery even if you don't have a 4G sim card.

Let's see some screen shots of these supposedly 20 to 30 hrs of heavy usage.

if you're not going to be doing allot on the phone and are down to about 40% you can always put Power Saving on as well. It will give you at least 20%-30% more battery life then you would have with it off.

So going back to the original poster, has your battery life got any better over the last couple of days or are you still having problems?

It has gotten a bit better. But I am considering returning the phone because it just doesn't seem like the right fit for me right now.
