Hi, I am experiencing some battery problems with a brand new Google Pixel 2 bought 1 week ago.

As you can see from the screenshot my battery drains fast: from a full charge to 92% in 17 min of use. (Simply surfing the web using mobile data).

I would also like to say that I have a clean Android installation, with the default Android 8.1.0 apps apart from Instagram and Outlook. And Gmail is deactivated because I don't use it.

I start to think that has some manufacture problems.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Here 2 screenshot attached. After 17 mins and 36 mins of use.

Your phone was last charged 7 hours ago so I think that's normal. I just checked my setting and I charged my phone 10 hours ago with 46 mins screen usage and I got like 84% battery life.

Agreed. Looks pretty normal. My overnight battery usage while I'm sleeping comes somewhere in that 6-7% range.

OP, your battery usage looks fairly standard.

Might be the May update. My 2XL starting draining like this in the last few weeks. Hopefully June update next week fixes it.

That's the kind of battery usage I would expect from my Pixel 2 XL after 7 hours on battery with normal screen use. I agree with the others that say your usage experience is normal.

The biggest battery drain is from lighting the screen. Where do you keep it set? I don't use Adaptive Brightness and usually keep mine around 50%. I'll be at 100% if I'm outdoors in the sun and as low as 20% at night in dimly lit rooms.

It seems normal, but I do agree that it may be something with the May security update as my Pixel 2 battery life is getting worse by the day over the last month. I'm lucky to get 3 hours SoT right now.

I didn't see any change in life with the May update, and we'll see how today's update works (as soon as I decide to devote the time it takes me to update).
